Casino the next target for PartyGaming
PartyGaming will relaunch its casino offering using a shared wallet with its PartyPoker.com site in the first half of 2006.
The new site will be called PartyCasino and will look to maximise the cross selling opportunities provided by its massive PartyPoker userbase.PartyGaming’s current casino brand StarLuckCasino contributed around 8% of the group revenues in the year ending December 2004.
And its chief executive Richard Segal admitted the casino side of the business had been neglected until now.
“The group has had such spectacular growth in its poker room the focus has been on poker so far,” Segal said.
“Going forward there are now people 100% focused on casino with the resources to take the business forward.”
“And we will start leveraging the very significant brand values of Party Poker to our casino offering,” he added.
And he said he was not concerned at reports of slowing growth rates in the online casino industry.
“I think there is a lot of growth left in that sector,” Segal said.
“Our casino business has grown fairly materially over the past couple of years, despite the fact it has been a neglected part of PartyGaming.”
