I haven’t said much about this hoping it would get resolved but as time goes by, it looks like it won’t. Some of you remember my post about this a while ago when we were discussing several poker rooms stats’ not working correctly.

Several months ago we realized with all the traffic we were sending to CDPoker, we should be making much more $ and I started to question Elliott (who WAS in charge of our acct.) I had a few forum members mention in posts that they signed up and deposited under us and we even had private table for our forum members which had 7-8 players several nights a week, so when we were making under $50 a month I knew something was majorly wrong.

Finally I emailed Elliott with a few of the names (two are moderators of our forum so I know 100% they’re under us) to see if they were under us, he wrote back saying no, neither were under us. And both are depositing and playing live…I double checked with the two and the both said they were 100% certain without a doubt they signed up under our link.

So I emailed Elliott with the link we use and he said yes, it works fine…that’s the correct link. I then told Elliott I was going to make a post asking all our members who was under us so we could sort this out asap. I did a post here in August http://www.pokeranalysis.com/viewtopic.php?t=16938. You can look at one page alone and see several are 100% sure they’re under us and some are pretty sure, regardless, the tracking isn’t working. So Elliott aggreed that many were due to be under us, at the time I think we were on page 2 and he agreed 9 were rightfully ours and they would be put under us accordingly asap.

Weeks went by and nothing happened. He started to ignore my emails, then all of a sudden he wasn’t on messenger like he used to be DAILY! So when I got to Vegas I met Sammy and asked him about all this. He told me that Elliott should of never told me he would put those guys under me, that they could not move anyone, even though I had PROOF they were rightfully ours. But yet, he did agree that the tracking wasn’t working and we should be compensated for all these players. He said that CDPoker’s tracking DOES NOT work if the player has cookies disabled, it WON’T credit the player to the affiliate and it makes it a generic credit to CDPoker. He also said it was impossible to fix and Dean argued with him for quite a while over this.

He then agreed to compensate us somehow, and said he would have a think about it, but we would probably get a few thousand and a large freeroll for the forum ($1000-$2000) I thought, if he followed through with this, it may be worth continuing our partnership.

Well we were in the US for another 7 weeks, got home 2 weeks ago and still heard nothing back from him, so finally I emailed him a few times about 10 days ago, nothing. Then I Pmed Liat on the forum here, he wrote back saying Sammy would be in touch. Finally I got a response from Sammy last week:
    Ellen,

    >>>Finally I get a mail from you!!!
    >>>I have been writing you few times but no response.
    >>>
    >>>Please send me the list of the 8 user names we discussed.

So, I sent him a list of 36 names from our forum that had posted, explaining that several aren’t 100% sure but to please check and see, one way of proving they are under us is that we did our first forum freeroll with CD on Feb. 1st so MANY of the signups were a few days prior to that, most even posted they download it to play in the freeroll.

After I sent him this list I got this from him:

LOL, I’m like, HELLO………it’s a list of all the suspected players that SHOULD be under us, well that email came to me on Nov. 10th and I’ve emailed him a few times now with NO RESPONSE.

I will be shocked if we get $$, but I can tell you that the SAME amount of traffic went to another Playtech room in less time and we were doing 4 figures monthly with them, so they absolutely owe us some $$$$$$.

I will post this all publicly if no one responds with payments by Monday.

I need to add that the reason he thought we had 8 players was in Sept. when Elliott and I had discussed this issue, we found 8 at that time. Now it’s Nov. and that post is 4 pages long showing many more members have posted they are under us.

Ellen I recommend you DO post this publically so that others are aware of the tracking issues with regards to poker players. Since this is your account I wont get involved unless you want CAPs assistance, but just say the word and I will contact Liat and Elinor either privately or via the public forums area.

thanks Lou, I wrote Sammy a 3rd email a few minutes ago asking why he hasn’t replied and will give him til Monday.
I will make it public regardless of the outcome, I just want to get paid first if possible!!

I told them that at this point why cannot there be a notice made on the downloads page informing visitors they need cookies enabled? Seemed a simple enough solution to me I was offering and all they did was sidestep it. Getting a direct answer from these peanuts is next to impossible. They offered us a freeroll and kept saying send more players.

I really felt I was bashing my head against a brick wall.

Well… then it would be harder for them to credit you what you are due.

    Signed,

King of the Obvious, pointing out things people already know.

PS, thanks for making the issue visible.

Ellen, seems to me at the least is to have them offer you a fair CPA (CPA on the high side) for all of your sign ups and move on. I know this is not the best of solutions but at least you would get some compensation for your efforts.

CPays is obviously in the wrong and should do what ever they can in a timely manner to correct this. Just my 2 cents. (is there a smiley 2 cents?)

Dean that’s a good idea. Does anyone have any stats on how many people don’t have cookies enabled on their machines? This excuse just seems like a very convenient one for the affiliate programs and there is no way we can do anything about it.

I’ve said before, there’s something dodgy about CasinoPays and slowly it seems the evidence is coming out to support this.

I agree, we would be THRILLED for ANY compensation, but right now we’re not even getting an acknowledgement.

I wonder how many other sites this is happening with…

It’s a tracking problem and happening with everyone – I doubt it would be selectively applied to a good producer.

I was referring to the aff sites not ours :)

sorry for the lack of clarification.

players with no cookies enabled = no commission to an affiliate

no commission to an affiliate = pretty good additional income to any program that distributes non-cookied players back to the room with a generic credited id.

aff = painfull anus as in screwed hard in wrong hole!
