I see.
I went to Casino City website yesterday to better understand all the issue about the case itself and online gambling in general. Well, Casino City is taking this too the last consequences. That’s good.
I think the internet has taken part of our life very rapidly and the legislation around the world is not ready for it in general. In that particular case, as in the case of file sharing and music rights, I think there are a few people with a lot of influence trying too mess and protect their money….Anyway, as an outsider, I think the current President does not help too much on these issues….

This was my biggest fear from the beginning – that they would only draw negative attention to our industry. That they would be used as a precedent of sorts that may very well limit or eliminate our businesses in the future.
Though I believe the DOJ is totally out of line – I equally understand that they ARE oppressors and what they say will ALWAYS win out. Its like yes we are going to execute your neighbors for smoking in their homes BUT you have no right to complain because we didn’t say we were going to execute you. When you are not even permitted to object to a wrong doing – there can only be one more step! :shooter:
February 19, 2005 at 2:26 am #661814AnonymousInactiveCaptain you crack me up!! I was laughing out loud when I read that… I had images of you with a beer, experimenting with your jumping skills (waving to the video camera bye-bye as you jumped – beer in hand)
A sad day for online gaming today. Kudo’s to Corfman and Casino City for standing up and taking a shot.
So true… wonder how much legal bills he has racked up so far… should there be a legal fund setup for him…. that way he would not feel so all alone! Make him feel like there are at least a group of people that really appreciate his efforts.

It is not the best of possible scenarios, but certainly within the expected and planned for realm of twists and turns in the suit.
Writing to Corfman to express support will be a very good gesture.
