Tila RSVPs should be ok even if they’ve only come in recently.

Someone asked about minimum age – I have confirmed that the minimum age is 18 so everyone should be ok… LOL…

Dress code – well, just don’t come in sandals and a T-shirt. I can’t see there being any problems otherwise.

How are most people getting from their hotels to the parties? Gonna taxi it or use the famous London Underground (*GAH*)
I was planning to take the Tube almost everywhere, unless I split a cab with a group.

Anyone know how much a cab costs, how much the Tube costs, and how you go about paying for a train ticket? i.e. do you prepay, or do you get on the train and wait for the conductor to come by?

I have been riding taxis around town with the average fare 6 pounds.

They make the craziest U-turns to save time and seem alltogether an honest bunch.

For public transport your best bet is to buy a so-called Travel Card for the amount of days you are here. You need one for Zone 1 and 2 (as London is divided in 6 zones and you don’t need to go to the outskirts)

This will give you access to and the tube, and the bus and most trains.
Not sure what it costs, but this is the best option.
Also look at http://www.tfl.gov.uk this is the website for public transport in London, very handy.

See you all over the next few days!
    Cheers

Tube tickets you prepay at the booth or machine before you go through the barriers. It’s pretty in most cases, a few quid.

In terms of taxis it’s not a fortune like Dom said if you’re only going locally, but if you’re going from Kensington to the party in Soho (the Thirst one IIRC) it’s probably quite a bit so if you can get a group together and share a taxi it would be wise, then it’d only be about £5 each I’d guess.

My sleep pattern is totally knackered up. It’s 8pm and I just woke up. Gonna try to get back to sleep a bit later – otherwise I’m gonna fall asleep during a CAP talk and that won’t look good…

All going to plan, I’m setting off early tomorrow (gotta drive to B’ham for couple of hours and then jump on the train for another hour or two) and should be with you all about lunchtime-ish.

Get one in at the bar for me.
