This makes me want to be there right now!!! Just 5 weeks to go!!!!!!

‘Grand Resort’ unveils its grand refurbishments!

This year’s host for CAP Spring break 2008 – and Cyprus’s premier luxury 5* hotel in its spare time – re-opened at the end of March after an extensive multi-million pound refurbishment project.

Now re-named ‘Grand Resort’, the award-winning Cypriote pleasure-retreat
opened again on 27 March 2008 after a five month refurbishment which began mid November 2007. CAP guests will be some of the first to experience its fantastic new poolside SPA facility and luxury new fittings in every bedroom, and best of all – CAP Spring break falls just days before the opening of a stunning new poolside restaurant serving gastro lunches and dinners, showcasing the very best of Grand’s already formidable culinary repertoire.

Lou Fabiano, founder of CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com commented

“Every year we have chosen the most luxurious and stunning venue to celebrate CAP SpringBreak and this year it looks like we have chosen the best yet! From the beautiful white sandy beaches just minutes from the hotel, through to some incredible parties and events planned, this years CAP SpringBreak is pure paradise. Mrs. Professor and I can not wait to touch down and hang out with hundreds of affiliates and operators in a location that can not be beaten!”

A ‘day in the life’ at The Grand

Wake up to an airy, lavishly furnished bedroom, ease yourself into an outdoor seat on your own private balcony and breathe in the beautiful coast view.
Saunter down to breakfast passing the hotel’s lush indoor atrium lined with impressive gardens and hanging baskets.

Take breakfast down by the hotel’s free-form swimming pool at the edge of a sandy beach. Perhaps catch the early morning sun rays with a light stroll down to the ancient kingdom of Amathus a little way along the sea front, or around the hotel’s 20,000 square meters of beautifully landscaped gardens with exotic trees and sub-tropical plants.

Lunch could be at the stylish Kohili restaurant, serving freshly caught fish and seafood classics in the open air patio under the palm trees. If fish isn’t to your taste, choose from one of the seven exquisite alternatives.

If the centre of Limassol town sounds like too much effort, you can saunter through the hotel’s personal shopping arcade, or get active with a game of squash on one of the hotel’s professional standard courts, or some water sports by the beach.

After you’ve spent the day in which every way you please, why don’t you take it off again and unwind with a sumptuous hydromassage at the hotel’s exclusive spa facility.

When dusk falls why don’t you start the night with a cocktail at Tycoons Bar, an exquisite Lobby lounge overlooking the sea with a background of live piano music.

For the later portion of the evening, you can choose dinner at one of the eight individually styled restaurants. You could try the Kyoshi sushi bar, or the locally inspired a la carte Anthea restaurant. And then for a smooth nightcap at the Ethnic Lounge and Bar – an alluring nightspot surrounded by gorgeous garden views.

Oh and if you get chance, try to stop by at one of the BEST online gambling conference events in the world, held in one of the largest hotel-based congress halls on the island.

Too bad i’m only staying for the poker conference.
Anyway, the hotel seems also quite nice enough to do a bit of work as well :wink-wink

Geof – I would seriously look at trying to extend the stay even for an additional 24 hrs and I am not saying this simply because I am running the event  I know of only one affiliate that is cutting his week short and that is because of family commitments and is still on the day after the poker con (Thursday) because the ASOP final table is that day.

Basically I know it is hard to convince the powers that be that SpringBreak is a “work” event but remember your clients (the reason you are going out there) don’t work for big companies that send people out for half the week so it makes no sense for you to do this too.

In Miami in 06 I really had my doubts it was worth attending at all but I can not explain how good that trip was for our business – I had attended CAC multiple times and probably met more people at those than I did in Miami but what SpringBreak did was create genuine relationships with operators and affiliates that are at a much higher trust level which I think is the most important thing in our business.

Like all events on the surface we all post pictures and stories that sound like we all do no work at these events but we all know all that stuff fits around back to back meetings, conference sessions, seminars and whatever else we can find to make us more money!!! :hattip:

Either way – See you in Cyprus – Its 30 degrees today!!!!!!

Thanks for insisting so much Alex and Professor.
The reason i cannot stay longer is for family comitments as well.
But no worries, i’ll make the most of the poker conference, i’m leaving at the latest possible time for me which is the 22nd in the early afternoon. That will let me enjoy the Arabian night party :wink-wink

So if any affiliates wants to set up a meeting you got my deadline now

Although – It will kill you leaving the beach bbq party on the Thuirsday afternoon – I am also hearing some very good things about that as well
