I’m actually disappointed to say I don’t recognise a lot of people from the pics… Alex it would be great if you could tag people. That way those of us who aren’t able to get to the conferences can put faces to the namesBring on CAP Oz! :woohoo:
May 28, 2008 at 8:41 am #768670DanmanMemberOr could you simply tag everyone as ‘Lucky Git’…

The affiliate managers who came to Cyprus were out numbered 4 to 1! Thats a hell of an opportunity that shouldnt be passed up.

May 30, 2008 at 8:24 am #768898AnonymousInactiveI’m a little disappointed at the lack of beach pics!!! The hotel is on a tropical island and all I see are pics from people playing poker?
May 30, 2008 at 8:35 am #768899AnonymousInactiveIts because I was working so hard – Everyone else was at the beach whilst I stayed in working Seriously though, I will get you some beach pic no worries
For the moment I was just sent this album for the Webroute Arabian nights party although the pics definitely don’t reflect the party as it reall was amazing http://cpcevents.myjalbum.net/Arabian%20Night%20@%20Marina/ if that doesn’t work click here http://cpcevents.myjalbum.net/ and then the event
June 12, 2008 at 11:02 pm #769999AnonymousInactiveThe ever popular ASOP Tournament made its triumphant return to sunnier climes as the crown for the next ASOP champion was fiercely contested at CAP Spring Break, held in Limassol, Cyprus.
Sitting between the Poker Conference and CAP Spring Break events this year, the ASOP took on a slightly longer program spread over three days, which allowed the players more time to put their top secret strategies into action in the most competitive battle for the ASOP crown to date.
The preliminary rounds were held on Day 1 and Day 2 of the Poker Conference, and saw 42 players honed down to the final 6. The finalists of this round going through to the esteemed ASOP final, which was held on Day 2 of CAP Spring Break.
The early rounds are always a feisty ground for competitors, and this year the highlight was the unseating of CAP ringleader, The Professor (aka Lou Fabiano) whose head carried a bounty of 500 Euros. This was taken on the second day of play by friend of the ASOP London 08 winner, Gabor Videk which meant she got her lucky hands on some extra Cyprus spending money, courtesy of CAP.
The 3 day poker marathon had to be brought to a close at some point though. Despite the final being held at 10.30am on one of the sunniest days of the week, CAP Spring Break registrants dragged themselves away from the poolside and braved the air-con to view the ASOP final first hand. The task was of course made a little easier owing to the open bar – hair of the dog anyone?! And so, after a tense final table lasting just over 3 hours and several all ins, SEO guru, Marcus Tandler, who writes the poker blog http://www.PokerSucht.com, drew the winning hand in front of a sizable crowd and the cameras of The Poker Channel to be crowned the fifth ASOP Champion. Now with a seat at the WSOP main event to aim for, Marcus has CAP’s seal of approval, in the form of the coveted $10,000 diamond bracelet. When asked about his win, he said:
“CAP Spring Break has definitely been the best CAP so far, and topping that with winning the first 3-day ASOP is just icing on the cake! Thanks CAP for this great event and ASOP tournament!”
Will Marcus be the first ASOP Champ to retain his title? Fancy pitching your odds against him? Register now at http://www.ASOP.com to enter the tournament for CAP Euro: Barcelona 08, which promises to be bigger, better and uglier!
The ASOP organizers thank their sponsors, Everest Affiliates and AffiliateClub.com, who deserve credit because the tournament wouldn’t be able to take place without their support.

Lately, I’ve been in frequent communication with Warren, Alex and Sasha of late in order to assist as much as possible with this event. I’ve been living on this beautiful island for over two years and in that time, have met many people. Chris Panayiotou, who is a Cyprus native and my COO has served as a fixer for both us and Red Kings for the past several years. Things that would normally have taken months have literally been taken care of via one phone call.
To give you some background, Cyprus is a small country in the middle of the Mediterranean it’s in close proximity to Israel (30 minute flight away), Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, and various other interesting places. Just over 800,000 people live here but in the summer, it is host to over 3 million people at any given time. Most people here speak very reasonable English so you won’t have a problem communicating either.
There is a place here called Ayia Napa which is on the far east tip of the Island. I would encourage you to explore this place before or after the event as it is easily on par with Ibiza and a lot less expensive. Crime does not exist here in the sense you are familiar with either. I leave the keys to my motorcycle in it all day and nobody has ever laid a hand on it. I have never heard of someone being mugged or of a home being broken into.
I would recommend extending your trip to explore the Middle East a bit if time allows. I’ve been living this side of the earth for nearly 5 years now and I can tell you that it’s a unique experience that will change your life. Ask Becca, she will tell you. I would especially recommend a trip to Israel as you likely have many friends there already
We’re located and live in Limassol where the event will be held and are friendly with all the nightlife people and even the persona non grata. We’re all looking forward to welcoming you and want to extend our aid to anyone who needs it. Should you have any trouble with anyone or just need some general assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact either Chris or I and we will take care of it. There’s nobody in Limassol that we don’t know. We’re very honoured that Warren, Alex and Sasha have decided to host Spring Break in Cyprus and we intend to go out of our way to make sure it happens again.
