It keeps getting better and better – we will have 2 incredible cruises, tons of cocktail parties, great speakers and even our educational session will have a complete assortment of beer! This is definitely an awesome chance for people to network AND have a great time in beautiful Miami Beach.

    See you all there! :drunk2:

I am trying to work my schedule so I can come to Miami. Sounds like a great event. A couple questions.

Do I have to stay at Loews? I am too tight to pay that much for a room that I won’t see in the daylight when i can get one for $49 bucks a couple blocks away.

Can someone give me an idea of other costs involved? How much for the cruise, etc? I don’t golf so it’s out. Would there be any reason I would need to rent a car while I’m there?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

you can look here for Hotels in the area: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/springbreak2005/travel.htm

I think there will be a number of people staying in less expensive places.

It would be nice to see you there!

None of the items on the itinerary will cost you a dime. They are sponsored by aff programs as you see here: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/springbreak2005/eventschedule.htm

I am really looking forward to it!

LOL. Thanks Dominique. I looked at that page ten times and still had to ask to make sure. I found a hotel and plane tickets that match my budget, I just have to make sure I can clear the time. I hope to be able to come, as it will be nice to meet some of the great people here, and I just might learn something :woo-hoo:

    Thanks,

Would there be any reason I would need to rent a car while I’m there?

Most of the events will happen at Loews or transportation will be provided (to a certain extent). I know that many of us will have cars and would probably be able to carpool to all event locations.

As long as you can get back and forth between your hotel and the Loew’s – I wouldn’t worry about transportation. In years of conferences I have never found that to be a problem.

I generally recommend you dont rent cars when in Miami Beach. The reasons being:

#1 The hotels charge you upwards of $20 per day for parking. Its all Valet Parking too so you get whacked for tips coming and going if you actually use the car.

#2 Parking is virtually impossible to find anywhere. This includes all bars restuarants and local shops. You either pay to park at the club/restaurant or you end up walking six blocks or more to get back to your car.

#3 At most times traffic on Collins ave moves at a snails pace. The same applies to Ocean Blvd.

#4 Its EXTREMELY easy to get a cab 24 hours a day in South Beach

#5 Almost everything worth doing on South Beach is within walking distance. If what you want to do isnt within comfortable walking range (or you are gravitationally challenged like me) you can go back to option #4

Very True professor – so far everything planned is within 3 miles of the hotel, which is an easy cab ride away.

    Welcome Back!!

    Hi All,

I’m happy to report that Marlo and I will also be in Miami for the CAP spring break.

It will be my first time in Miami and I’m very excited – I’ve heard so much about the event and I can’t wait to be there!

Together with Vegas Partner, we will be hosting a cocktail party on 19 June 2005. Please let me know if you will join the party.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
