This also assumes the lawsuit between this forum and LOU does not land the owners in jail for stealing a few million.
Interesting accusation – all monies are still in company accounts and safely kept there until ownership is settled legally, from what I hear.

I didn’t accuse you of anything like that.
But you are derailing the topic. What surprises me, is that so far most affiliate managers have pretty much stayed out of the spotlight surrounding the drama and have focused on their business. And the few that have commented, do so in the appropriate threads.
Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything. But being you and your program are brand new to affiliates, this was an interesting first impression.

This is true, new to affiliates from these forums , not new to business, and we have affiliates. I spoke my peace, and I will let it drop, but it amazes me the “business as usual” atmosphere is all. I personally Like Sam, and a few other people there, And have spoke to some of them about this and other issues at length. I will speak my mind, and is a free forum for you to post your thoughts and mine. After Dom posted a response, I responded, as this was new info to me. Everyone has opinions…
Good luck to you
March 24, 2009 at 4:25 pm #797557AnonymousInactiveWhenever there are legal procedures going on there is little info forthcoming. The facts that are involved in the legal issues are not being discussed. All that usually is published are some personal comments by the people involved.
In this case, way too much personal anger was aired in public.
Lacking actual info, forums tend to go into speculation mode. And in this case, all the speculations are based on some angry comments, not facts. There is also no way to clear up speculative errors because of the legal situation. So things spiral out of control and there is no way to stop it.
Personally, I just refuse to speculate or to base my opinions on speculations.
For me, it’s business as usual until I actually know the facts. Then I make up my mind. :hattip:

I figured there would be a small showing (less than 100) instead theres a dozen of us.The hotel is too big so finding everyone took 2 days, especially since we didn’t recognize half the faces.
The hotel is overpriced and does not even have internet connectivity in all of the rooms, if you are in a building far from the lobby you cant connect. They want $10usd an hour to connect unless you negotiate for a better rate. Great place for an internet conference where there’s lousy internet and half the people cant connect.
The bar/nightclub in the resort last night had about 20 people in it including half of which were us and the other half preteens who were dancing on the dance floor. Its really happening here especially for spring break. This is a family hotel I wonder if they bothered to visit it first? This is possibly the most overpriced and overrated hotel in mexico.
Why was there not an email telling us to cancel our reservations at least 15 days in advance when it was free to cancel?
Why did no one from CAP show up?
Why are none of the events happening?
Why is there no one posting on here and letting us know what is happening or send us a letter or anything?
If you are planning on going to future CAP events (even if they have been renamed) then my advise is to cancel them. This is my last CAP conference and I recommend that everyone cancels their future plans.
The CAP staff has proven what they are made of. The people who came here spent thousands and they don’t even have the courtesy of emailing us. Shows a lot about the new ‘direction’ management has promised us.
Cancel Amsterdam. Don’t go to London. Dont advertise here.
This website is a scam. I doubt anyone who showed up here will bother with future events, or anything of CAP, igamingbusiness, or any of the other dozen subsidiaries they use.

I think Igaming would be pretty unhappy with that statement.

Good point – This thread is all at tangents but to answer this specifically – iGaming Business is a completely seperate company and you can check this out extremely easily since we are owned by a plc http://www.electricwordplc.com where we have to declare anything and everything. I have been at iGB for 5 years and the company has been around for about 7-8 yrs and is not in anyway whatsoever a subsidery of CAPs
March 25, 2009 at 8:22 am #797585AnonymousInactiveCHITCHAN-ITZA ROAD TRIP
A group of 7 visited the ruins at Chichan-Itza (spelling?) in a rented SUV today and had a pretty good adventure.
Thanks to Bonustreak (Christine), Tracy, Sam, Antoine, Henrik and Ryan for making the outing a lot of fun.
The ruins were great and the road trip there and back certainly added to the adventure.
Highlights of the trip:
– seeing ancient Mayan Ruins
– taking the 4 hour scenic route back to the hotel and seeing approx 18 Mexican towns, 2211 mangy dogs, 1 suicidal cat, and 1232 enormous unmarked speed bumps (slight exaggeration except for the cat and towns part)
– Ryan getting stung not once, but twice by a very nasty wasp
– Antoine winning the most annoying back seat driver award
– Getting somewhat lost and ending up in a big town north of Cancun in rush hour, after dark in a rain storm – thankfully, the rain didn’t last long
– Sam, Henrik and myself overcoming our Mexican food stomach problems – no emergency bathroom stops needed – the 2 rolls of toilet paper we packed were not needed…
– Tracy being a superb navigator – without her we would have surely made our way to Belize by accident
– Christine, Antoine and Tracy illegally climbing ruins which were not supposed to be climbed on. Who knew Christine could climb like a mountain goat!
– Shamefully not finishing all of our beer during the road trip
– Realizing that Mexican rest stops are actually clean…. what a relief
– Henrik sounding like an Ikea commercial when he spoke swedish on his cell phone
– Did I mention Antoine and his back seat driver routine… lolSo, it certainly wasn’t the most organized excursion ever planned, but not too bad for a group of people trying to make the best of this spring break event or non-event depending on how you look at it.
That’s my report for Tuesday. Tomorrow we have rented speed boats and snorkeling planned… should be a blast.

Hi Antoine,
Sam has been in Cancun since yesterday and Yvette is arriving on Tuesday. If you recall, this is exactly how the first CAP Spring Breaks were organized in Miami.
We’ve had to attend to a lot of things (many which were completely unnecessary and unforseen), thus could not get an announcement out to notify everyone well in advance that none of the scheduled and sponsored events would be happening.
Bollocks!!
Sorry Warren.. Total Horses shyte…
That is NOT how it was sold and had it been, as it started, maybe a lot of us would have come that were there when it started ….
I have kept out of the whole “He said.. He said” crap.. because it does not interest me.. and to be really honest,, anybody that is sitting there waiting to see what happens between Warren and Lou would probably sit at a roadside accident looking for dead people.. I do not care as it is not my company or bussiness..
BUT!!!!!
For people to spend money on a trip promoted to be a huge party and be stranded is absolutely sickening …..
No excuse in the world can make up for that.. all you could do is say sorry and cover their costs..
Stop playing the “we want the old spring break back” card.. pathetic… we would have signed up immediately if that were the case… why are we not in Cancun? because it was NOT sold that way initially!!!!
I really hope you guys out there are having a good time nonetheless!
March 26, 2009 at 1:25 am #797644AnonymousInactiveHey, it was me who said “I want the old spring break back” and I do.
No doubt Cancun turned out to be a lot less than expected. I still wish I had gone though, I like the small gatherings, but not without internet. I need to have internet access, period.
I am surprised the hotel didn’t honor internet requests when people booked their rooms. That part would drive me nuts.
As for being in Cancun with a bunch of fun people instead of sitting here looking out at the rain – still sounds like fun. I hope everyone makes the best of it.
March 26, 2009 at 5:28 pm #797676BetsoftGamingMemberwe are making the best of it and we are getting involved in some cool stuff. Granted I am unable to make some of it with my pregnant wife and 2 year old baby here but I am still having a blast with the people that are here.
I hope to attend this evening with everyone and will PM Sam now to see if I can get involved.
Regards Antoine’s back seat driving, I have no experience of this but his navigating sucks! :roflmao:
however, that being said he can certainly drive a boat!
I must also say sorry for Christine for nearly flipping her out of the boat, I got a little over excited on a wave! :flush:
