Do we have any confirmed dates for the CAP gathering? I’m already having trouble getting seats… LOL… so I need confirmed dates and times as soon as possible. I might be able to come before GIGSE as well, so whichever way is easiest will probably be okay.
February 10, 2005 at 12:19 pm #661398vladcizsolMemberOk, we have a block of rooms reserved at the Loews Hotel on South Beach from June 17th to 21 (4 nights). We went ahead and locked down 28 rooms so we could get the best rates. The normal rack rate for rooms starts at $265.00, but CAP members and guests will only pay $179.00 per night.
We will be posting a registration page for Miami Spring Break soon. You have to register via that page to get the discounted rates. Shanon will be posting complete details in a few days. Its going to be a great time!February 10, 2005 at 12:21 pm #661399vladcizsolMemberGood idea Dave, we will organize another cocktail party in Miami this year. I am also looking forward to Prima Pasta again.
February 10, 2005 at 3:42 pm #661409AnonymousInactiveLet’s not forget the lobsterfest at the restaurant of the Hotel Ocean. It may well be the best lobster I ever had, and you get two for the price of one….the ambience is wonderful as well.
If not a group outing, I would sure love to go again anyway.
February 10, 2005 at 4:31 pm #661411vladcizsolMemberA lot of people do Damian, especially after partying all night. :smoker:
I tried that last year, but the Greenpeace people kept trying to rescue me and put me back in the water :1Dopey:

Looking foward to meeting all of you…anyone want anything from Australia like vegemite or something?
March 2, 2005 at 5:24 pm #662249AnonymousInactiveHey, Australia has some dynamite rum.
It would be neat to have a taste comparison – if both you and Spear brought some!
March 2, 2005 at 6:03 pm #662254vladcizsolMemberHow exactly does Vegemite taste like? Ive heard its an acquired taste.
I think I speak for most of us when I say “Bring some good Aussie Beer” instead of Veg…
March 2, 2005 at 6:24 pm #662257AnonymousInactiveYou can buy vegemite and/or marmite online. I like to use it to add zip to soups, which it is perfect for. It is very good for you too, complete vitamin b complex. It tastes kind of like soy sauce.

Ah boy, I can hardly wait either. It’s already May now, time to get serious, everyone.
I am feeling cabin fever again already. I got just the room I wanted both in Miami and Vegas, and I am going to book flights for Miami and Vegas tomorrow.
