Same ole same ole situation. A few months back you sent us several players from Hong Kong and they keep taking advantage of the monthly bonus but never lose much if any.
A couple months back I wiped out your fee carry over but since then these players have been doing more of the same and your fee carryover is now rising again thus negating your earnings for the month (like I said, they aren’t losing much though).
I’d be more than happy to do what I can to stop this bonus abuse progression and start you from scratch again so if you’re willing to work together in order to turn this around just let me know.
Sincerely,

Well this month the carry over fees are exactly the same as the net gaming. So what are these carry over fees for? And how can carry over fees always be more that net gaming each month?
October 13, 2004 at 3:11 pm #656111AnonymousInactiveHi Krystall,
Your customers haven’t lost anything this month so the gross losses are at zero.
You had a fee carryover in August due to these Hong Kong players and they have continued to get the bonus every month without losing much if any of their own money so you are assessed your percentage of the total comps. Because this amount is more than what these bonus abusers lose during the month your earnings are negated.
If we were receiving new real playing customers every month, and they were not bonus abusers, then odds are they would lose enough to outweigh the assessed bonuses from these Hong Kong players.
Like I said, I’m more than willing to work with you in order to turn this around. I’m sure if we worked together we could easily reverse the current trend.
Thanks,
Frank
October 13, 2004 at 3:33 pm #656115AnonymousInactiveI have never understood these fees and what they are based on and when and why they are carried over. It looks like if you are doing badly the fees make sure you do worse or wipe you out, but if you do ok they don’t even exist.
That is psychologically very discouraging.
October 13, 2004 at 3:36 pm #656116AnonymousInactiveThanks for your response Frank,
However I am not sure starting from scratch is the answer.
October 13, 2004 at 4:19 pm #656117AnonymousInactiveIn response to Dom:
All fees – comps / chargebacks etc. are assessed to affiliates based on what percentage they earn for the month. If an affiliate receives 30% for the month then they are assessed 30% of the total fees during the month.
A year or so ago we used to remove 100% of all fees from gross winnings / losses during the month then your percentage would come out of this net win / losses. Now we take your percentage out of the gross winnings / losses then assess your percentage of total fees and deduct this from your earnings.
This change was made for our backend purposes only and does not affect the amount an affiliate receives. Both calculations result in the same amount earned.
Krystall, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I’m sure there is something we could do in order to make this work.
Thanks,
October 13, 2004 at 4:21 pm #656118AnonymousInactiveThank you.
October 13, 2004 at 4:30 pm #656120AnonymousInactiveYou’re welcome. Also, the Neteller payments should be going out today or tomorrow at the latest.
Thanks,
October 13, 2004 at 4:35 pm #656122AnonymousInactiveIt just arrived.
Your explanation, by the way, still doesn’t say why the charges seem higher on bad months. Are they not deducted in the month when they are incurred but in the next one?
October 13, 2004 at 4:50 pm #656123AnonymousInactiveHi Dom,
It just seems that way. For instance, if players receive $1000 in bonus money during the month and the affiliate is assessed $250 but the players only lose $200 then that’s where the fee carry over comes into play. It’s a safety net against bonus abusers who seem to be in abundance nowadays.
If the players are not bonus abusers they are more likely to lose $2000 or more instead of $200 after receiving $1000 in bonus money.
Let me know if you need further explanation or if there is anything I can do to help you earn more with us.
Thanks,
October 13, 2004 at 5:08 pm #656126AnonymousInactivewell can you cut off bonuses to bonus abuser then?
October 13, 2004 at 5:27 pm #656127AnonymousInactiveHi Krystall,
Yes, I should be able to take care of this. I’ll let you know when it’s done.
Thanks,
Frank
