I was wondering if you more experienced people could explain these series of events for me as the parties involved never.
I signed up as an affiliate at Webroute Services early May 2008 to promote Blackpool Club Poker.
Jamie kindly offered me a nice $150 Freeroll for my forum and so the relationship began.Cutting a long story short the freeroll was never set up at BCP but was mysteriously set up at CD Poker.
Apologies were given etc etc and so continued my promotion of BCP.
The below chart shows my earnings there to date.
Month Opening balance Earnings Approved Closing balance May 2008 $0.00 $200.00 $0.00 $200.00 Jun 2008 $200.00 $400.01 $400.01 $200.00 Approved: 2008-07-03 15:20:43 $150.01 2008-07-22 14:15:05 $250.00 Jul 2008 $200.00 $0.00 $0.00 $200.00 Aug 2008 $200.00 $0.00 $0.00 $200.00 Now although it says $400 was approved in June I actually only recieved $150 the 1st week of July.
I questioned it a few times and finally lost my temper and told Webroute to keep the money and close my account. Jamie assured me it would be sorted the following Monday as we spoke late on the Friday.
Jamie did get the payment approved but imagine my surprise when a few days later I got a frantic phone call from David Bernstein who is my CPays manager.
Having questioned them both I was assured they never had anything to do with each other and as long as I eventually got my money thats all that counts.
What ever is that all about?

August 3, 2008 at 1:10 pm #774434AnonymousInactiveI think if they just came out and admit it that they are all offshoots of the same company rather than deny it, more people would be ‘more’ accepting of them.
I would like to believe the new businesses such as Web Route are trying to turn the past issues people have had with CPays etc as they do seem to be a decent bunch.
Personally I dont have too much against them other than they dont admit who they are and what they do.
August 4, 2008 at 11:10 am #774515PngigdgaMemberOoh – I turn my back on the forums for five minutes and the old Webroute = Cpays argument raises its head!
I am going to do my best to clarify everything here, as I have done a little research. Hopefully this will all make sense.
The fundamental issue here is that CPays are not Webroute, and are not connected as companies.
However, there are few factors that do cloud the waters, so lets see if I can explain it.
1. Webroute Services are based in Belgravia, London. We have 8 members of staff here, and the founder of the company has in the past worked for CPays – hey, you cant hold that against him, its a specialised industry and people go from one company to another in specialised sectors.
2. Ad-Gency are an advertising agency based out of Tel Aviv, Israel. They operate the Cpays Affiliate Marketing campaign in much the same way as say, TradeDoubler, Affiliate Future, Commission Junction and all the other Affiliate Networks operate.
3. Ad-gency also do our media buying (that is to say, mass campaigns based on CPM and impression based marketing (where a company pays for each *click* on a banner, as oppsed to CPA which is based on each result). Our Affiliate Marketing is all done in London, where I am.
4. When the poker tournament was set up, we sent the instructions to i-poker, who faciliate all tournaments set up under the Playtech brand. I-poker are based in Birmingham, England. Unfortunately they set the tournie up under the wrong brand, which is incredibly embarrassing for us, as it does insinuate that Webroute and Cpays are the same.
5. When this error was made, it was of coursed raised with CPays (as CDPoker is a CPays brand), and thats probably why David Bernstein contacted you as he would have thought that it was a CPays issue.
6. So, it does look like an almighty mistake was made an ipoker which helped reinforce the theories that Cpays and Webroute are the same company. Its something that since I have been at Webroute has surfaced a couple of times on various forums, and I daresay that it always will – after all, thats the double edged sword of the internet isnt it – a fantastic tool for disseminating information, but at the same time, if the information is wrong, it can be damaging too.
7. Does this all make sense?
Any questions etc – just ask. Seriously. The guys here at Webroute really want to help you promote Blackpool Club, whether its in in the Casino, Poker or Bingo subsectors.

Could you please tell the guys at Web Route to check their forum section here in CAP at least once a week, as my question there is almost 1 month old regarding bingo. 1 month without promoting Blackpool Club Bingo
“Let me promote you”

How terribly clever. Your new employers must be so proud to have someone so ‘on the ball’.

Hi Sipka – I try to monitor the boards every day, as well as all the others. Have I missed your post? If so I am sorry and we’ll sort it out for you :wink-wink

Ooooh the CPays agressive streak!
By the way I was joking, losen your underpants some and take a deep breath!
I’ll edit my post to make it clearer for any people coming in late on this. :hattip:
