I used them to create GamblingInfoSource.com – interesting idea – and the interface is evolving all the time. I found it a potentially winning idea – and if you do not know HTML or the casino business then this is well worth further investigation.
But … there are negatives.
1) I found their content provisioning far less than promised and quite entry level.
2) The URL’s created by the system are not memorable or SEO optimised and all of their content is duplicated. You will not get SE hits ever.
3) Despite customisation options all the sites look much the same – you can spot a cashmirros mirror a mile away.
Still – I did appreciate the exposure into the casino and poker world – but have rather abandoned the site due to it’s limitations and started creating my own independant content.
So my rating of this service …
For Casino newbies, and HTML newbies 9/10
For Casino Newbies and experienced HTML webmasters 5/10 :sarcasm:
For experienced Casino and HTML people 1/10 :nervous:It has it’s place – but it will NOT be your fortune maker …

June 13, 2006 at 12:52 am #695350AnonymousInactiveGee, thanks Paul sigh.gif
We offer a great platform for both new and established affiliates. It is extremely easy to use and in minutes you can build a website that would take you months otherwise. Obviously that threatens a lot of people who are already established in this industry and have spent a great deal of their life getting there – such as Mr. Gooner.
Paul, you bought one of our first available websites almost a year ago and have not utilized any of the upgrades – and we have released many of these. The newest version particularly helps with SEO. Our websites are reaching PR 5’s and PR 6’s on many of their pages now (which is higher than any of the websites in your signature it appears)
As for the sites all looking the same, why not compare your version:
http://www.gamblinginfosource.com
to
http://www.fullgamblingdirectory.comA mile away sigh.gif (Full Gambling Directory is available for purchase by the way – see my signature)
Not your fortune maker? We have users making thousands monthly and that will likely reach the ten’s of thousands by the end of the summer. It seems that you are marketing several other websites ahead of your Cashmirrors one so I don’t see why you would expect it to do very well for you.
I suggest you utilize the latest version of our software and actually try to market your website if you want to make a fair assessment.
June 13, 2006 at 1:46 am #695354AnonymousInactiveHow would I utilize one of these on my own server? Don’t really understand that, do you send files?
Whats in it for you? Meaning besides the original sale you must benefit some how.
It’s interesting, sell me the rest of the way.
One thing Gooner said was duplicate content, what stops you from getting these penalties?

You see the whole point of a forum is sharing information – not sales pitch – I’ve done that – while you get snarky ??
:phone:I’m sure that can get great PR ratings – lotsa links equals great PR – but PR does NOT equate to SERPS not matter how hard you’d like it too.
In fact there is a lot of debate into the whole point of Googles PR now – especially as many leading keyword sites have PR of 0 but stil lget on page one.
I don’t think that I’ve slagged your offering – indicating that it is a good entry vehicle but it is limited – and I don’t see it’s use for experienced affiliates which is what I’ve said.
:shooter:Full Gambling Directory is EXACTLY THE ASME CONTENT that I can access with “lipstick” on it. Nice – but still the same duplicated content – all dressed up.
(There is a saying about putting lipstick on a pig is still a pig – but that’s not quite appropriate as your offering is not a pig – it is OK)
But …
Flash macro media menu – doesnt SERP well
Frames – doesn’t SERP well
Duplicate content – doesn’t SERP well.A starter site – but not the killer site for affiliates … IN MY OPINION
June 13, 2006 at 2:07 am #695357AnonymousInactiveKPR wrote:I think on certain plans you pay for hosting unless you buy it outright.Okay, so with the “free” option what do you do, just re-direct an url to the mirror site?
June 13, 2006 at 4:26 am #695359AnonymousInactiveEveryone is entitled to their opinion Paul. Yours just happens to be wrong and puts our good product in a bad light.
We have websites with excellent SERPs. Full Gambling Directory is just one website we have for sale. No one is forcing you to use frames or flash. No one is even forcing you to use our default content as you seem to imply. You can hide EVERY news post, article or review we provide you with. You can use them or you can hide them; your choice.
As I stated above, you can also post YOUR OWN news, articles and reviews as easily as making a post in this forum by using the Cashmirrors backend. I’m sure this is a useless feature to an HTML expert such as yourself, but for me – who only programmed most of the original version of Cashmirrors from scratch – I find it to be quite the time saver. Not only that, but you can edit the TITLES, KEYWORDS, DESCRIPTIONS and even the ROBOTS on every single one of your pages.
If you actually logged into the backend and played around a bit you might find these things out. Instead all you seem to do is log in, bitch about a lack of content updates, and leave. You are, by the way, the only one of our users to complain about this. Kindof funny considering how useless you make non-exclusive content out to be in this thread.
We have had customers who have had websites for 4-5 years abandon their current sites to focus exclusively on their Cashmirrors account. To say this is simply a starter site is simply not true. I don’t mean to be ‘snarky’, but I am tired of critics trying to dismiss our product by saying it is not search engine friendly. It is as SEO and SERP friendly as you want it to be.
It will take a lot of hard work to make any affiliate website successful. Cashmirrors just makes it a heck of a lot easier.

Otherwise there is a set up fee for setting up the software on your host. It varies from host-to-host, so you should PM me if you want to discuss this further.
June 13, 2006 at 6:24 am #695363AnonymousInactiveCashmirrors (is this Dan or Richard?)
You insist on trying to get this personal – and it’s not.
You do obviously know how often I logged in and tried things – I see many of the new fields and formats are a direct reflection of the SERP and monitoring things that I squeezed into the initial versions.
To discuss the content thing briefly :
– Duplicated NEWS content is poor for SERPS but is very useful in keeping the site looking fresh to visitors who may be visiting for the first time.– You’d said there would be fortnightly news items per segment. When there wasn’t I asked you about it – and you admitted it had been less than promised – and undertook to improve it.
– mixed with reviews that are less time sensitive it could be a powerful combination. You pitch this in youre sales spiel. So yes .. I comment on it.
– as for my own content – it’s been in and out of gamblinginfosource.com – as I’ve found it ranks much better in a simple HTML domain than in the database.
What I really liked
The affiliate managment section.Simple, consise full of links. To me this was the main benefit and feature that I got out of the portal – and perhaps that’s why I think it’s a short / medium term thing?
In some ways it was a bit like CAP with links to good places.
Summary
Cashmirrors, It’s good that you’re continuing to develop the interface – and I do wish you every success with your internet venture. But when fellow affiliates ask for feedback – I’ll give it. And if you keep trying the sly digs in an attempt to naysay then I will reserve the right to respond and clear the air.
:turn:June 13, 2006 at 9:05 am #695370AnonymousInactiveWell Paul, you have done a decent job in describing the Cashmirrors software as it was about a year ago. I assume the visitors of Casino Affiliate Programs are more interested in how it works today.
You weren’t the only one who found the pages can work better without the database and long query strings. This is why we released an upgrade which allows users to automatically produce them in shtml form (or query-less PHP). This has given excellent results in the search engines to those who have utilized it.
Nothing personal meant by it bud. I welcome your feedback but will continue to correct you where you’re wrong.
