Record number of iGaming delegates descend upon the Hungarian Riveria
London, UK — September 18th 2009 — The Budapest Affiliate Conference (10th-13th September) launched with the 10 year anniversary party of Expekt.com, a captivating night where the drinks were free, gifts were given, business was flying and Poker legends Doyle Brunson and Scotty Nguyen made an appearance as they spoke and took pictures with delegates. Representative of the whole conference, BAC went down as an iGB Event to remember with over 1,400 delegates in attendance over the course of the four days, 800 of which were affiliates, 50+ exhibitors, 20 strategic conference sessions, 5 exuberant networking parties and VIP guests galore. The city of Budapest has as of yet to recover from the iGaming invasion.
“I think the Budapest conference was a great success, and definitely one of the busiest I’ve been to.” Neil Stephenson, Marketing Manager of Gutshot.com commented “There were plenty of new affiliates for us to meet, the atmosphere was great, and the host city was fantastic. This was the perfect opportunity for us to make an impact in the industry and grow our online business. We will definitely come back next year and look forward to London.”
iGaming Business, specialist publisher of interactive gaming magazines and organisers of the affiliate events, welcomed the positive feedback. Since starting the events two years ago iGaming Business has grown from strength to strength, with their events becoming a must-attend for anyone involved in the iGaming Affiliate market. Their growth is surely down to the huge market share which Affiliate marketing dominates within the iGaming world. An operating site can live or die by its traffic and it is necessary to have an excellent affiliate program to stay within the upper echelons of the iGaming world. By providing a platform for which to encourage this interactive industry, iGaming Business have produced a winning formula which has ensure that at a time when events are struggling to find business, the Affiliate Conference are breaking expectations. We have to ask what is the key to their success and more importantly, can it be repeated with London Affiliate Conference 2010, which will be held at Old Billingsgate, 28th-31st January.
“Whilst we know that our delegates are largely here to network, we always aim to provide everyone with something new and unexpected.” Alex Pratt, Head of Events for iGB Events, added “The Calvin Ayre Keynote attracted huge attention; the domain auction gave delegates the opportunity to source new URLs and the special appearance from the Texas Dolly and the Prince of Poker sealed the deal. I think the location was the true star of the show – everyone loved the city and it provided plenty of entertainment for the night time social. Add it all with our regular large expo, great conference streams and ASOP tournament it makes for a great combination.”
He continues “London is home ground for us and every year we get more delegates than we ever thought possible. 2010 will be no different with 90% of stands already booked for the exhibition. The cherry on the cake will have to be iGB Affiliate Awards – we promise this will truly be a night to remember.”
The iGB Event Team have certainly proven themselves able to both meet and exceed expectations over the past year and will be opening 2010 with their home coming event in London, which has all the hallmarks of a great occasion – a date worthy of putting in the diary.
