April 12, 2008 at 3:25 pm #765520AnonymousInactiveThanks for the heads up.
Is there a link to a news story or press release?

April 12, 2008 at 9:41 pm #765538AnonymousInactiveThe press release reads a little screwball .. going all over the place.
It runs between mentioning the a “freeze” on Boss Media Accounts, hyping up some fantastic and exciting opportunities for PokerTrillion (that they’re not allowed to discuss), and speculating about a catastrophic crash in Boss media shares and possible arrest of Boss media executives.
It’s going to be a very interesting week sor two seeing how this plays out.

I haven’t really seen it anywhere except on a few news sites and player forums, surely this is massive news???

PokerPages is reporting that all 7 banks now have garnishee orders in effect.
And I’ve NEVER heard of a “garnishee order” either … previously I would have guessed it was asking for some tomato sauce to go with my chips ..
:tongue:Is it an obscure financial term?
April 14, 2008 at 10:13 pm #765677AnonymousInactiveYep …
Garnishee order
Definition (UK specific)
A court order instructing a garnishee (a bank) that funds held on behalf of a debtor (the judgement debtor) should not be released until directed by the court. The order may also instruct the bank to pay a given sum to the judgement creditor (the person to whom a debt is owed by the judgement debtor) from these funds.

April 15, 2008 at 9:10 am #765709DanmanMemberWhen I was at Victor Chandler, we had a couple of casino skins through Boss Media, and I’m aware of numerous instances where affiliates had not been paid commission by Boss Media, who controlled that part of the programme.
Always thought they were shady operators and I guess this sort of thing doesn’t really help matters for them.
April 21, 2008 at 5:57 pm #766216airlinEMemberI can assure you that there are no “Boss Media Concerns”. Poker Trillion has been kicked off the network for continuously breaking the rakeback rules. These rumors are just a desperate retaliation attempt.

Care to explain your relationship to this news and your source – as that might help to substantiate that view.
April 23, 2008 at 8:00 am #766348airlinEMemberBy now this is common knowledge. If you’re interested in finding out more, there are some threads on 2+2 forums, for example – but here are the facts in short :
-Poker Trillion, a small IPN skin launched in 2007, has been consistently breaking the network rules, and as a result their contract has been terminated
-The only source mentioning lawsuits, garnishing orders etc. is a press release by Poker Trillion, which has also been published by some of their affiliates.
-Every player on every other IPN site is able to deposit&withdraw normally
-Poker Trillion recently announced a move to the tiny Everleaf network. They are desperate to keep their players...and frankly, you might want to do the math yourself. If there is a lawsuit, and a garnishing order, it would be for the assets owed to Poker Trillion, and that would not affect any other skin on the network in any way.
Public smearing by desperate people, that’s all.

interesting. you joined just to say this. good 2 posts. Cough.
Also interesting that you claim that PT are doing some smearing and are desperate without knowing or wanting to know the facts behind their lawsuit(s)..
Sure they prob made up the allegations of criminal activites and potentially fraudulent stuff because they wanted their business to potentially suffer.. :flush:
