    Hi,

I recently set up a blog http://www.casino-gids.be/blog/ and I’m quite happy as it draws traffic to my site, but untill now not one page has attained a PR!

I can’t understand it as both posts and pages don’t get PR and as I moved some pages to my blog wich previously had PR and now don’t anymore (same content with a permanent redirect)

I can only figure out that google is a bit suspicious about (new) blogs.

Does anyone have experience with this?

    Thanks,

    Jonitas

have you bought links for your blog?I have a blogspot that i started only few weeks ago but i bought links for it as if it was a website.NO pr of course but i would think PR works same for a blog as it does a domain.

    hi,
I’m not much of a linkbuilder, not for my site nor my blog. But my site does have some pr.

I just came up with this theory: I think that a blog spreads PR over a lot of pages due to the heavy interlinking.
If I think of my blog: it automatically creates pages when i assign keywords to a post. So PR from the main blogpage gets spread too much I suppose.

but hey, if visitors keep coming I have no problem.
But thinking a better pr could give me more makes me crazy :cuss:

A blog is no different to a website. Just a bunch of pages.

PR is not worth worrying about. The top “gambling blog” in google is a pr5, same the second, the 3rd is a pr7.

Don’t worry about PR, I’m not even sure the last time Google updated it, seems like quite awhile. The important thing is to see that your pages are cached by Google. Quickest way to determine that is with a “site:www.yoursite.com” query to see which pages Google knows about.
