In regards to blackhat/seo I have a question. What would be your questions in regards to this malicious activity.
I would very much appreciate some feedback if at all possible, please, pretty please.

How it is accomplished?
why do their sites get indexed so fast?
who are the top dogs doing it?
the major players and their names?
the spiders most frequently used such as urchin 1.6?
is it legal?
how does your hosting company put your in the line of fire?
The difference between screen scraping and serp scraping?
The malcious script auction houses?
Can Google take action against them in a effective manner?
Will the World wide web ever be free of these malcious people?
I ask because there is a good possibilty, I will be a quest speaker in Vegas for the cac convention. I would like some feedback on what troubles webmasters the most. I do have some of my own ideas and solutions, the more feedback I get the more usual I can be.

Sounds like a good speech right there and you have a strict time limit so to me it looks like thats all that will fit.
I think though that most people are intersted in how the BH techniques of others can hurt them and how to find out if anyone is hurting you.
And then what to do about it.

I agree totally, a good point Dominique. I think I will be allowed a full 90 minutes. I plan on bringing some of my clan to speak as well, mainly high profile hackers. It should be interesting because Eric is a very outspoken person, nothing seems to hold him back. greek39
Just my opinion, but if you speak, make sure not to get bogged down in defining blackhat. There are wide degrees of opinion and you could end up talking about what is and isn’t blackhat for the whole time instead of what you wanted to speak about. (not talking about you in particular, I have just seen too many threads break down into defining it when much more could have been learned)
In my limited knowledge, the biggest BHers use scripts for everything which automates every single step from setting up domains, scraping, page generation, blog and pinging, etc. They don’t always get indexed fast, but they don’t care. Launch a million pages today, get a few indexed from the ones they launched a week or month ago, repeat every day.
Good point, the topic could get derailed. Perhaps I could fire away first then take questions? In my opinion currently, a blackhatter is a person who takes malcious scripts and implements them. Either the blackhatter draws the script or has someone else do it for him.
From this stand point I would draw no distinction between blackhatter or malcious hacker. I can for sure see some people not seeing that way. greek39
All presentations at CAC are speeches followed by question and answer sessions.
I held one on Blackhat a year or two ago and I didn’t get very far beyond definitions and examples, once you are talking time is a lot shorter than you may think .
I was bombed with questions about how it hurts us, how to find out whether we are being hurt and what to do about it for many months afterward.
That is why I suggest it, people are not interested in theory but in how they are affected and how to protect themselves, practical advice for their lives.
Well noted Dominique I could very well see this happenning. But if Eric S Raymond shows up I am hoping people will stay a little turned in to what is being said. I would like to offer things that people don’t know about as well.
For example the how to track a malcious script via proxy to your site ect…I will have to be fully prepared for such events taking place.

The latest news the BH community appears to be rather pissed. The are going around blacklisting sites, acussing honest sites of email spam. But then again I only find this in the whois of course. greek39
I have checked high and low for Ziv, but cannot connect him to scraping. I know all his companies, patents, tools, some emails, mug shot, some emails, but still I am failing to connect the dots. I know he is connected to 888 and moniker so is his brother or brothers.
But I have connected two other people from israel concrete prove. But Ziv elludes me. I know he is connected to the BH community under broadprospect. Only once did he sign his email /ziv the rest are /bp. I have traced routes to Holland, israel, Texas, UK and others. I know he spam blogs but thats about it.
Spending a fair amount of time on this. Any help on this would be appreciated, what I am missing? greek39

Yes very much so, in fact I plan on naming alot of of people. Such as Brandon Blum and two others. But Ziv is driving me nuts!!!
