Interesting thread on Casinomeister re. collusion. Pokeraddict has pointed out that it’s way easier to collude at Duplicate Poker than other poker rooms.
The concept there (for anyone unfamiliar) is that its a “skill game” – there are lots of tables running simultaneously and every player in the same corresponding seat at each table gets the same cards. You win by doing better than the player sitting in the same seat at other tables, who holds the same cards as you obviously.
However any player in any seat at any table, because they get the same cards as that player at your table can tell you what that seat holds, so with a small team of people you could quickly know what every player has at your table!
Oops.

btw, are there any awards held for worst online casinos/poker rooms/etc? similar with what they do with movie awards, where the worst movies get outlined and awarded dubious prizes….i do think that the gambling industry is in dire need of publicly shaming idiots and screw ups in every shape and form :roflmao:
May 18, 2008 at 10:35 am #768035AnonymousInactiveIs there any more info out there on whether this is true? Ive been looking on casinomeister and some of the discussion seems flawed. Why would somewhere leave themselves open in such an idiotic way? There´s got to be some general protection against this…

All you need is MSN and some friends at different tables I would assume. I’ve not played there, but it sounds like a fairly obvious way to collude to me.
In what way do you think the discussion is flawed?
