How do you consider yourself not evil? Personally you fXXked with the wrong person when you targeted G&C, but that is just my thoughts..

Well, all your hosts have been contacted, as well as some of your affiliate programs. A lawyer has been hired and is currently working on this.

I think it is time for you to give a complete explanation of why you would take other people’s work and put it in your frame.

    I am listening.

i dont know loads about this sort of stuff, but isnt what that persons doing exactly the same as every proxy site out there does ?

When someone visits your site from a proxy, often your page gets indexed at the proxy site (although im sure google knows that proxys do this)

Is this the same as what happened with Dom’s site – or is it something different ?

Here is an example of a proxy’s indexed pages….. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&rls=GGLJ%2CGGLJ%3A2006-34%2CGGLJ%3Aen-GB&q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.webthese.com%2F&meta=

can this hurt ppls rankings ?

    Hi all,

IMHO ….. and i don’t know much …. but anytime you claim or gain from another’s site or content…… is wrong.

Thats what I would like Codename to explain. Exactly why he did this.

So, when the page is hijacked, would Dominique get the credit for a referal?

Some people are too lazy to work on getting their own ranking or too cheap to invest in good seo /Content.For god sakes half the casinos give us the banners and text to build a website . No excuse for copying anything from any site .

The sites have a Google/Amazon search box. (Adsense?) When a visitor types in a query the results are displayed in a frame on the same site.

If you mouse over any of the results you’ll bascially see a concatenated string similar to the one below in the status bar. The part in red is the search query string and the part in blue is the page title of the search result.

    breederscupraces.com/open/http://www.gamesandcasino.com~~Casino+Games+-+GamesandCasino.com

If you click on any of the search results (links) the corresponding site opens in the same frame.

I’m not sure why Google even crawled those unless the queries were hard coded which would be unethical.

Personally, I don’t like sites that use frames.

    Cheers,

I always thought that using frames would be the least likely way to get indexed. So using frames would probably not help in terms of SEO. Nevertheless, the aff in question used it in an unethical manner without asking for permission.

I use a frame buster script on a site which I don’t want to be “framed” because it has bandwidth intensive stuff on it and by framing it one could get around the hotlinking restrictions and suck up my bandwidth.

I came accross the loriwebs site before. Even though it’s a bit old it gives quite a good overview of the main blackhat/scammer methods. With regards to automated scraping attacks I suggest a bad bot trap – you’ll need a dynamic site for this.

Well, my lawyer says that displaying my work in your frame is illegal.

I still don’t understand the benefit of this versus any other scraper method.

One other issue you failed to address is why you have fake registration information listed for all of the domains listed in the first post…

If you have nothing to hide, then why not list “real” information?

Did you also know that if you register a domain with false information, they can be dropped? They give you a chance to change it, and after a certain time frame, the domain is gone.

Maybe, it would be a good idea if the Prof put up a list of shame with rogue affiliates who have been found out in order to clean up this industry. A bit like some of the stuff Casinomeister does.
