If BetUs are accepting american players and providing a platform for them to be on surely its only a matter of time in the current climate before the DOJ or similar turns on them evidenced by so many major players pulling out? Is it even in doubt?
May 15, 2007 at 9:58 pm #736942PatrickMMemberIt’s all about the processor we used in 2005.

What’s so funny about it? I don’t get it…May 15, 2007 at 11:22 pm #736959AnonymousInactiveOf course you don’t. But your answers are better than even spelling out the actual situation. I have never see so much wiggling out of an affiliate manager.
I learned everything I need to know, and I think everyone else did, too, so I am off to other stuff, and good luck.

Right now there’s this thing called an indictment, and nothing is happening now except waiting for either a “true bill” or a “no bill” to be called. That’s what’s currently happening.
I appreciate you input to the whole thread, hopefully everyone better understands the situation.
I also welcome any more input from people that have been involved in the industry and have seen this happen before. If anyone would like to ask anything more please email me (address in signature below).
Thanks!

Yeah, we have all seen it with BetOnSports, which by the way, are still not convicted
Finally some admition that you have been charged with a crime. I think it was about time, so affiliates could make a decision if they want to continue sending players to a company which is in the same situation BetOnSports was a few months back.
May 15, 2007 at 11:40 pm #736964vladcizsolMemberOk guys lets move on to new business. Stupid you made your point and I think Carlo has responded as best as he can given the situation. The damned Justice Department in the US is abusing all of our freedoms and I cant say that I am a huge supporter of this action that they have taken. Adults should be free to gamble online without this harrassment. And lets face it gambling is the business we ALL are in, so lets not beat the shit out of each other. We already take enough abuse from the Feds.
May 16, 2007 at 12:03 am #736968AnonymousInactiveYup. But here is the ending from one of the literaly hundreds of similar emails we get each week:
Also, any idea on when BetOnSports will start paying its US players? Is there anybody with one bit of integrity in this business? Thank you.
Mind you, the only betting we have ever advertised is the legal horse betting and entertainment odds. We have nothing to do with sports betting, nor have we ever advertised BetOnSports, and yet, people put us all under one umbrela – Internet gambling.
May 16, 2007 at 12:08 am #736971vladcizsolMemberStupid I understand what you are saying but Bodog operates a sportsbook too and what do you think the DOJ’s position is on that?
Lets face it the DOJ hates ALL online gambling. Casinos, Poker, Bingo, Sportsbooks everything they arent taxing and controlling or receive special interest money from. Thats their position and its abhorent to most of us.
