Hello Renee, can you share with me what constitutes a betting player?

    Hi All,

A betting player is anybody who places a bet in that single day/24 hour period. For example:

3 betting players on a day/row: means you can attribute all the wagering & earnings in that day/row to those 3 players.

If you have 3 betting players EVERY day/row then you know you had 3 players betting everyday.

Of course, it’s more likely that you’ll get a varied amount and that’s why I total up that column as an average number of betting players on each day instead of a grand total like the other columns.

Then you can see from month to month if you’re average betting players is going up … one of the key indicators to a healthy business :)

    Enjoy the weekend!

Thanks for your prompt response as always Ryan. Thats what I thought a betting player was. That is why I find it odd that on the 28th I had 1 betting player-no revenue and on the 29th I had 3 betting players-no revenue. In addition when I logged in on one of those days I was actually earning revenue from these players, then I logged in the next day and the revenue was gone. It showed $0 whereas before it was showing a nominal commission of like $2 in change. I don’t understand how revenue can be there one day and gone the next. Im sure there is a simple explanation for it. affid 53451. Thanks for your help.

    hi bonusgeek

There was a lock in the database and the stats for the last couple of days had to be re-synced so what you see there now is correct.

If there are any further problems let me know.

    Cheers

Hi Renee, perhaps you don’t understand my query. I had 1 betting player on the 03/28 no revenue and 3 betting players on 03/29 no revenue. You can easily check this by logging into my account 53451 and checking march stats. In addition I would like to know how revenue disappears from poker. It was there one day and gone the next. I don’t mean to be pushy, but I need to understand exactly what is going on here so I can make some decisions. Thanks for your help.

    Ok i understand

    The betting player on 03/28:

A betting player is defined as a player who places a bet during the day in question.

So in the case of poker … you can see a ‘betting player’ and no rake when they play in a freeroll.

When a player plays on such a small table limit that the pot isn’t raked – would have to be very small <$.5/1 in almost all cases. Also there are some abstract rules re: heads-up play where sometime the pot isn’t raked This is taken from this post: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/betting-players-but-no-rake.9563.html?

As for the betting players on 03/29 – the reason it was there one day and gone the next is because there was a database lock. What this means is that when the stats sync, for about 10 seconds the stats are deleted and re-synced with the new stats. The database deleted the old stats, but didn’t insert the new ones because it was locked.

As you can see, the table has been re-synced (since the database lock) and the profit/loss is now showing.

If I still have misunderstood your question let me know… I am known to be blonde sometimes ;)

    Cheers

Well I think I understand now, but after logging in it still shows no revenue for 03/29. Am I to understand this means they were all playing freerolls? If that was the case it would never had showed any revenue from that day. I am very on top of my stats with my site. I know how they got there, where they went. On the day it was showing revenue 03/29 I literally watched the player come to my site, go to poker rewards, make a download, then a few hours later it was showing the nominal commission. Now the revenue is gone. Now there is no way I can be sure this player deposited and was the source of this revenue, but it seems to be the most likely scenerio to me. I am certainly not making any accusations here, I am just trying to understand what happened to revenue that was there one day and gone the next. When you resync the database shouldn’t the commission in question be there now. The $2 revenue in question came from somewhere and I trust it doesn’t magically dissappear lol. Thanks for your help in breaking this down for me. I am beginning to think I am the blonde.

    Are you looking at: http://rewardsaffiliates.com/members/affiliate/wager_rev_stats.asp

If I look at the old stats under your account I see on 03/29

    03/30/2006 4 1 1 3 0 $1.86 $.65

    Are you not seeing this?

Yes, I see that. So are you saying the revenue that I saw earned on 03/29 is now loaded on 03/30. The revenue I was referring to was I think $2.41 and was earned on 03/29.

    Hmmm

    Like I said… blonde…

I forgot that March has 31 days and not 30, hence me looking at the second last day thinking it was the 29th..

Let me go have another look and get back to you.

Is it having trouble now? My numbers are usually consistent but have really dived off.

    Hey cowboy

There are no problems with the system right now. The issue above was temporary and lasted until the next sync.

    Cheers

    Renee
