(PRWEB) July 26, 2006 — BETReturns.com sports betting affiliate program launched this week amid chaos among the gambling sector. BETReturns.com affiliate program is the main marketing drive behind gaming giant Empire Sportsbook. The launch comes a week after the arrest of David Carruthers, the CEO of BETonSPORTS while he was transferring planes in Dallas to continue his flight down to Costa Rica.

The sudden arrest of David Carruthers paralysed the online gaming world and put fear upon the operators. However Empire Sportsbook does not show any concern as they are legally operating outside the US within the jurisdiction of Costa Rica. Empire Sportsbook was built to be an internet sportsbook for the internet user and does not accept bets via the telephone, hence for this reason it is not in violation of the infamous Wire Act.

“We are excited about the launch of BetReturns.com and look forward to taking on the egaming world,” said Zack Halbert, Affiliate Manager for BETReturns.com.

BETReturns.com affiliate program has an additional feature which allows webmasters to add effective modules to their websites including one module which shows the users the top 5 popular bets to next 5 bets coming up.

Empire Sportsbook uses Sports Pulse software which has been five years in the making and is said by many industry experts to be among the best sportsbook software they have ever seen.

To learn more and become an affiliate of BETReturns.com we suggest you visit http://www.betreturns.com.

Hi. I signed up and then I went to provide my Neteller account ID. However, you wanted secure ID number and the last 4 numbers of my bank account.. I’m willing to give you the account ID, but not anything else!

    Hello Richard,

Thank you for pointing out this area. For neteller we just require your email and I will have the form fixed to reflect this.

Your thanks for pointing out this error.

Zack, you’ve certainly picked an interesting time to launch. I just have a few comments after reading the terms and conditions.

2.3 BETEMPIRE.COM shall retain the right to change any part of the Service at anytime, without notice to Affiliate, in whatever manner BETEMPIRE.COM deems appropriate.
2.4 BETEMPIRE.COM shall retain the right to cancel any part of the Service at any time, without notice to Affiliate, in whatever manner

Is it too much to ask that you send out changes via email? You have the affiliates’ email addresses and hopefully you can imagine the time affiliates would spend, checking that programs haven’t changed, if all programs has similar terms. Time that can and should be spent doing more productive things.

4.1 …BETEMPIRE.COM can at its sole discretion determine that the volume of business from the Affiliate site is not sufficient to warrant continuation of this Agreement and terminate this Agreement with thirty (30) days written notice.
4.4 If Affiliate at any time stops promoting the Service, BETEMPIRE.COM maintains the right to terminate the Agreement without notice.

    and

No other affiliate program pays like Empire’s. Join now and earn 25-40% profit on all customers you send our way… forever!

The two kind of contrdict each other. The latter appears in more than one place across the site and if you decide to terminate the agreement then I assume the affiliate stops earning income from players already referred. Please correct me if I am wrong in my understanding.

Another point not related to the terms is whether you can work on getting betempire.com to work on Firefox. Here’s a quote for a 10 July 2006 article on BetaNews.

Worldwide, Firefox now holds 12.93 percent of the market, up from 11.79 percent in May. The open source browser commands a 15.82 percent usage share in the United States, and a whopping 39.02 percent in Germany. Australians are also big Firefox users, with the browser holding 24.23 percent of the market down under.

Some of those numbers are fairly high and alienating them because only IE6+ is supported may be causing you to lose players. And the message about only using IE because of security issues is plain laughable.

    Hello James,

Thank you for pointing out the ‘unfair’ terms and conditions. The following terms and conditions have been amended:-

2.3 BETRETURNS.COM shall retain the right to change any part of the Service at anytime, with a one month notice sent via email to affiliate, in whatever manner BETRETURNS.COM deems appropriate.
2.4 BETRETURNS.COM shall retain the right to cancel any part of the Service at any time, with a one month notice sent via email to affiliate, in whatever manner BETRETURNS.COM deems appropriate.

Also 4.4 has been re-worded to highlight spam.

4.4 If Affiliate at any time uses illigit forms of marketing such as spam which results in costs, then BETRETURNS.COM has a right to withhold the money due to the affiliate, and terminate the affiliate account.

and finally 4.1 has been changed to:-

4.1 This Agreement shall commence and be deemed effective on the date when accepted by an authorized representative of the Affiliate (the “Effective Date”). This Agreement shall be deemed to be accepted by the Affiliate when the Affiliate hits the submit button on the Affiliate Join page.

I have asked to see how valid the browser numbers are but by far internet explorer is the most used platform. For this reason Betempire.com was designed around this. We are moving to make the software work on multiple platforms.

Please take a moment to checkout the http://www.betempire.com software and see the different betting options on offer. We have found the simple wagering option works well with the sports fan.

I think you need to be a little bit more specific concerning the commission level. What does it take to earn 30% 35% 40%? You may well pay out 40% but if an affiliate has to generate 2 million a month in commissions to reach it then it’s unrealistic. Either way by not being specific you are king of leaving it hanging in the air that the payout is 25%.

Zack, thanks for taking the suggestions on board and making the changes. Rest assured your program is not the first that I have made these comments about. I should really keep the post somewhere because I could just copy and paste when the next one comes along.

I’ll make a point of checking out betempire.com next time I have my older PC fired up because the site doesn’t even let me view it with Safari and Firefox. Maybe it could let other browsers access the site but no further. That way, if people like the site and are comfortable with all the information then they might be inclined get IE and sign up. Just a thought, as browser compatability is easy and there’s no security issues if they are just looking over the site.

    Thank you for you suggestions…

There are a few tweaks we are going to be doing with the Betreturns system over the coming days which will answer most of your questions.

Antoine, our apologies for not clearly having the commission structure on the page. This has been made more clear on the about us page for you to see:-

    Your earning potential

We make it easy for affiliates to earn at BetReturns and offer the following
    commissions

Bring in 1-25 depositors a month and earn 25% of house net win
Bring in 25-50 depositors a month and earn 30% of house net win
Bring in 50-100 depositors a month and earn 35% of house net win
Bring in over 100 depositors a month and earn 40% of house net win

Unlike other programs we base your percentage on the number of depositors you drive to us (a depositor is a player you send to us who makes their first deposit and is classed as an active player).

I hope these numbers are obtainable and remember since you are coming onboard on the very early stages of the affiliate program I can place you on a higher tier.

Also other things we are adding to Betreturns.com over the coming days:-

    1) Uploading the database of banners. The banners are displayed on a rating system, so the banner which receives the most clicks receives more impressions.
    2) Sports content feed (the module you can see on the homepage of http://www.betempire.com)
    3) Text reviews for use

All your suggestions have been noted and comments always welcome.
