Well I guess asking for payments of commissions was just too much to bear for Betfred. They requested we close their forum as they felt they were being mercilessly flamed.
March 28, 2008 at 7:43 pm #764475AnonymousInactiveThanks for the info.
Time to pull all their links and banners….
Nice smiley, btw.
March 28, 2008 at 7:54 pm #764478AnonymousInactiveThey should be happy I didn’t pipe up.
Back when UIGEA came about I had just delivered them a HUGE number of players on a freebie offer. Most US. They locked them out and tried to charge me for the bonuses!
They actually wanted me to pay them cash, $20 a player for several hundred players.
What are they, nuts? They give the players fake money, close their accounts, keep (and likely sell ) the contacts and want me to pay them $20 per player I just lost?
March 28, 2008 at 8:16 pm #764484AnonymousInactiveWow, that is surprising. Was Martyn involved in that? I always thought he was one of the good guys. :tooconfus
March 28, 2008 at 8:27 pm #764487AnonymousInactiveHe tried his best I think.
It seemed to be the casino folks that were nuts.
March 28, 2008 at 8:48 pm #764489vladcizsolMemberMartyn is definitely one of the good guys. I am sure that wasnt his idea.
I would have hated to be him and have to take that bullshit to Dom!
:banger:March 28, 2008 at 8:58 pm #764491AnonymousInactiveYeah, he was very diplomatic, lol.
I did yell at him, I admit it.
It definitely wasn’t his idea.
Since he left I keep getting mails from Betfred wanting me to send players.
Fat chance!
March 28, 2008 at 10:54 pm #764500AnonymousInactiveWTF they can piss off then as far as I am concerned..lol Not that I made a penny there so no loss to me but I was considering promoting them more but no anymore…:flush:
March 29, 2008 at 11:10 am #764520AnonymousInactiveI got contacted via PM, and I typically wouldn’t share that info – but since this is a private forum and the PM relates to this. The PM starts at the bottom, BTW, and begins with me not knowing who the heck the PM was from
He seems not so friendly and his response put me off a bit. I think that the bounced check will be lost revenue (more than lost since it cost me to try to deposit it – it was a hand-written check, BTW, which caught me as strange too).
PM wrote:Im glad you said that because we have the same problem, not knowing who people are, which is why we dont repsond on forums, they waste too much time and this confirms my point.
I am Betfred’s Affiliate Manager, you now have my phone number and if you have an issue you can call me and I will do all I can to resolve it for you.Quote:

A very unpleasant fellow indeed. He basically told us the same thing he told us. He was getting flamed by people he didnt even know. Which, by the responses I saw in the payment thread, is a pure fabrication.

I didn’t see any flaming at all, actually.
My post was probably the most ‘flammatory’ However, I was just stating the fact that I wasn’t getting any response from Campbell via email. Then when he mentioned that my email was never received, I pointed him to an earlier part of the thread where it was said that ‘Campbell knew about the issue with me and was working on it.’ I did NOT mention in the thread that Campbell had responded to my email initially and definitely knew about the problem.
I recall Martyn saying that the CPays-connected ‘Adgency’ was likely going to take over Betfred’s affy program. Seems to me, based upon how they act lately, that this has already happened.
I will remove all their shit from my sites and expect not to be paid. Lovely.
March 29, 2008 at 1:18 pm #764529vladcizsolMemberI didnt see any flaming either. I have a feeling that Bedfred will be leaving us soon if Campbel stays in place as he apparently hates forums or open discussion of any kind. Also he asked that we Ban a member (not you guys) for no apparent reason and I told him no, so hes mad at CAP too I would imagine.
March 29, 2008 at 3:09 pm #764535AnonymousInactivePeople with fragile egos are not suitable as aff managers.
You can’t take everything personal, which he appears to be doing.
I don’t think he will last long.
If adgency is running it – they are slowly taking over all the playtech casinos. Soon I won’t have any on my site anymore if this keeps up. They are the most annoying bunch of people I can think of.
April 3, 2008 at 5:27 pm #764885AnonymousInactiveI miss martin and hate that his new gig never got off the ground.
Ill remove them too.
Thanks for the heads up
April 3, 2008 at 6:17 pm #764890AnonymousInactiveI still can’t get them to pay my commissions. I’ve PM’d, emailed, NOTHING. They only owe me $233 for crap’s sake… and it cost me $31 for the bouncing of their check :cuss:
