Hi,
This month I’ve had some very strange “negative” items visible in my Bet365 statistics page that I have not seen before.
Has anyone else seen the issues below and know what they mean? Maybe Bet365 Affiliates are doing an annual claw back of commissions, but I really don’t know as no emails have been sent out to explain the amounts that are being shown in my statistics. I’ve already sent an email to Bet365 affiliate support so will probably get their explanation soon.
As an example of what I am talking about, I have seen in my “Check Statistics” page items like what are shown below on an individual date:
All figures below are negative (-) values and x represents varying values
-x (yes minus) New Sign Ups
-x New Depositors
-£x Value of Deposits
-x Deposits
-£x Sports Turnover
-x Sports Bets.– How can you have a negative Sign Up? Either they sign-up or they don’t.
– How can you have a negative Depositor? Either they deposit or they don’t.
– How can you have a negative deposit value? This would surely be a withdrawal and not what I thought the column was for but I may be wrong.
– How can you have a negative Sports turnover? Surely it’s zero or a positive amount?
– How can you have a negative number of Sports bets?As I said earlier, I am waiting for a Bet365 reply but am very interested if anyone else has the same issue or has seen it before. I just want to make sure my statistics are all as they are supposed to be…
Cheers,
Nick
March 31, 2009 at 9:30 am #797855XanyLadyMemberAn update:
Bet365 have replied back saying that they are aware of a problem and are looking into it. It must not have just have been my account with the issues! Hopefully this will mean that my stats will look a lot healthier by the end of the month…
Cheers,
Nick
March 31, 2009 at 10:00 am #797856tomMemberWe have two different issues there:
First, there appears to be a problem with the stats for yesterday, ie a lot of negative figures showing for a couple of affiliates.
The cause of the error has now been identified.
The compensating correcting adjustments will appear in tomorrows run (todays figures will be unchanged but taking the 2 days together will cancel out the error)Secondly, our stats normally show negative figures when some fraud/charge back players appear: the player account is eliminated and negative figures appears on your stats.
I hope this helps,

Thanks Geof, your reply does help.
Because affiliates are so reliant on Bet365 stats reporting, any stats problems are very worrying for me. I know that your stats reporting is quite basic at the front end, with limited information for affiliates, but I would have thought that it’s been in place long enough to eliminate these type of issues (mistakes do happen though). On the positive side, it’s being fixed which is always good. I am just hoping that my big negative will turn into a big positive tomorrow :wink-wink…
The second point you make about the fraund/charge back is okay for me, but is there any way to get more visibility of this at all? I am assuming that with my stats if I sign up 10 players, and have 1 fraud, my stats will show 9 players. Therefore, only if affiliates have very limited new registrations will they ever be able to see any fraud/charge back issues and it will be balanced against the rest of their stats anyway. Can you tell me if fraud/charge back issues are of quite small value in general? or does it vary widely so that it could make a big impact on stats?
Thanks for your original reply again.
Cheers,
Nick
March 31, 2009 at 1:10 pm #797861AnonymousInactiveHi Bluetoffe
I have the similar strange stats for yesterday in our bet365 aff-account…
Really hope its a bug …our “value of deposits” for yesterday is saying minus £21.000!
“sports turnover” is ..hold on..minus £105.851.79!! :flush::flush:March 31, 2009 at 2:28 pm #797869AnonymousInactiveJust came to query the same issue. Guess you got in ahead of me. Good to know it’s already been looked into though.
April 1, 2009 at 9:26 am #797937AnonymousInactiveJust saw that stats are updated for yesterday….stats seems strange again..It looks like bet365affiliates have added the minus from 30/3 to plus at 31/3??
April 1, 2009 at 9:37 am #797938AnonymousInactiveYeah, that’s how they said they would reconcile it.

Exact, from your figures you can see it’s not just the same figure which is reverted in the positive, as you can see a difference corresponding to yesterday’s figures.

Hey Nick,
we do not show individual player stats.
Charge back/fraud amount can vary and on some occasions you will indeed not be able to see these figures if amounts are low.But the idea is good to have a complete separate column showing total of fraud / charge backs. I’ll push this idea to try and show more transparency.

I don’t have any negative Sign Up,negative Depositor, negative deposit value, negative Sports turnover or negative number of Sports bets.
But I have a lot of negative figures in casino net revenues from 22/03 to 31/03,especially more than 5 thousand negative on 30/03 and more than 3 thousand negative on 31/03!April 1, 2009 at 11:54 am #797946tomMemberSteveS PM me your username i’ll look into your account.
Only affiliates with big unusual negative figures on March 30th data were affected by our glitch, but corrections have been done on March 31st data.

A separate column sounds good to me, thanks Geof.
It’s great to see the stats back on track again, albeit with the ‘catchup’ figures in place for yesterday.
Cheers,
Nick
