i hate this stinkin script, and i’m seeing more and more of it:
from:
xhttp://www.10bestbingosites.com and
xhttp://www.casinolux365.com/after i declined the offer of a trade, he fixed my link, but no one else’s. i’m not linking to him.
it’s so you can’t just mouseover to check the url, and even if you click through and the link works, it STILL doesn’t mean it’s worth anything. you actually have to go around checking the source these days.

I looked at both sites quickly and couldn’t see a link with that. It appears to be a mouseover script, again not sure of the problem?
Sorry bit confused as to the exact problem here?
November 5, 2003 at 5:59 pm #641134vladcizsolMemberHi Dean
The problem is the actual links are maintained within a php database. When Google or another spider visits the page it essentially “sees”xhttp://www.10bestbingosites.com/index.html/go.php?id=79
This “link” is not assigned as a back link to Captains free casinos. The Captain essentially does not benefit from the link exchange and this “link” will NOT show up as a backlink at Google or any other spider driven search engine.
The problem continues in that most webmasters are aware that non html links do not boost their Page Rank at Google, they go to the site to verify a “link” exchange. They see their link and upon mouseover the browser bar displays “http://www.captains-free-casinos.com”. The script masks the fact that the “true” link is xhttp://www.10bestbingosites.com/index.html/go.php?id=79
So you see they are cheating you and to make matters worse they are making a concious effort to hide that from you by masking the links with this mouse over script.
I hope this makes….
November 5, 2003 at 7:28 pm #641135AnonymousInactiveThanks Prof,
Ok, we run wsnlinks, also a php driven database program.
I understand that many webmasters are after page rank, but I am more concerned with visitors. We have a variety of top ranking sites for keywords with no PR at all.
Wsnlinks is google friendly:
http://www.goodcasinos.com/wsnlinks/ index.php?action=displaycat&catid=2Turns up in google for a search of “bad beat jackpot” at no. 18 and added just a couple of months ago.
My major concern now is with outgoing links:
3265 clicks out from the links directory!
November 5, 2003 at 7:45 pm #641136AnonymousInactiveWow – havent seen this technique yet – what morons!
Usually when I check links I right click on them in case they are using mouseovers …
I took a look at casinolux365 links pages and you can see that some of the links do not use this technique and some do. It appears that all the links that are valid are to his/her other sites. (determined via whois)
There is also a link (non-affiliate) to cityclubcasino.com
And most of his sites (the ones with out this technique) promote city club casino …
Go – FIGURE!
