Guys I didnt want a soap opera directly after returning from vacation so I havent posted anything in the public forums. I did however want to keep you guys in the loop on what happened and why I have removed the APCW forum area.
J Todd and APCW
Like everyone else I find J Todd amusing and enjoy chuckling at his escapades. Somehow one man and one video camera and a tripod produce comedic relief weekly for everyone and thats great during times of stress.
Because of this I have been a supporter of J Todd for years. I legitimately considered him a friend and because of that we did everything we could to help him make it trough difficult financial times. We paid his travel and hotel expenses at a number of our events so he could attend. We supplied him with a forum here at CAP free of charge. Other then AGD we do that for no one. Evereyone else who has a forum here supports the community financially and the costs run into the thousands per month. J Todd was allowed to develop his business and client list here at CAP and it cost him nothing.The only disagreement we had was a year ago when I asked that he not include a portal in his videos who was basically trying to copy CAP and make people believe he was us! That didnt seem too much to ask for considering all the support we provided over the years and was really the right thing to do anyway. Todd was upset as he had pre billed this portal for the spots and he couldnt afford to refund the money. I was upset, but still we left his presence here at CAP and even brought him to a few shows after that incident.
Its important to note that when we started supporting APCW it was set up as an independant auditor of affiliate stats. that was its only goal and we felt that had value to affiliates so we jumped on board. Since that time APCW has morphed into a weekly comedy gig where we see J Todd in various skits and “reporting” live from his shower. Like I said its amusing, but is it really relevent? Does it create a positive change for affiliates or is it now a guy who always wanted to do stand up at the local Holiday Inn comedy club having a little fun with his video camera?
Now I will be honest, had I not received the phone call I did yesterday I would have left J Todd up here at CAP and patted him on the back when I found one of his videos funny. Unfortunately that call did come though and it’s basically destroyed our relationship with Todd.
The Trigger
I got a call last night from my best friend. He was very uncomfortable about what he had to say, but he wanted to let me know what was going on. He waited to tell me until my vacation was over as he didnt want to worry me.
J Todd called him last week while I was still traveling and said the following:1. He just read about Lyndsey and he wanted to extend his condolences. He said he was unaware anything like that was happening (the bait). Of course my friend said no it had been going on for months and CAP helped raise over $8000 for Lyndsey and her family he was surprised J Todd just realized this. This was the opening J Todd was waiting for and why he really called.
2. J Todd launched into a long discussion stating he never visited CAP anymore (of course this was unture as he still saw fit to use us to promote his comedy show every week and he received all the same CAP Newsletters he always did). He hated CAP and was trying hard to develop something to bring us down. He told my buddy he was under an NDA and couldnt provide full details, but he had investors backing him and he was coming after CAP. Again this is patently silly as anyone with any money would be far wiser then to waste it on the guy who regularly announces he’s saving the world than makes fart noises while riding a skateboard down hill. Funny yes, investment grade no.
3. J Todd went on and on about CAP and when the XXXXXXX asked him was he crazy and why would he do this after all the support we had given him. J Todd said WE were greedy and the only way to deal with us was to destroy US!!!! This comes from the guy who waffled on Gambling Wages a few months ago when they owed him money. Mr Integrity immediately reversed his position when payment was received. In Todd’s mind this is fine for him, but CAP is greedy for charging the programs so we can run our community and do the things we do.
4. J Todd actually offered my friend a job if he would help ruin CAP!!! This idiot thought I was paying my old friend for posting here! My friend laughed at him.
5. J Todd was very upset I didnt post the shaving picture as regularly as I did in the past and this was his “smoking gun” which proved we were on the take!!! Great line of thought there….
My buddy said it was clear J Todd was out to get us and he was planning on attacking us soon to begin his ascent out of obscurity. Based on all these revelations I decided it was best to end our association with J Toad.
It’s sad it has to go this way, but sometimes tough economic times cause people to do things they wouldnt under other conditons. Evferyone has a breaking point and J Todd has passed his.
I imagine we will see some derogatory videos from the mouse that roared. Our attornies will handle that. We didnt ask for this, but we have the resources to deal with it.
Like I said I just wanted to keep you guys in the loop.
Quite a bit of information there, if all is correct I applaud you on letting it linger as long as it did. Now as far as taking over CAP I cant imagine that happening

You have to do what you feel is best for CAP, though, and I am sure everyone understands that. I, personally, feel the video is more than just a comedy act – but that is my opinion. I’ll keep watching, but then again I’ll keep coming over to enjoy my friends at CAP too Yeah Andy I knew you would feel that way. But like you said you can find the show elsewhere and I gotta do what’s best for the community, my business and our employees. We all have families to feed also.
I find the videos amusing too and wish J todd the best of luck in the future.I dont where all this came from but I guess we all gotta do what we gotta do.

I just meant that I do like the content of the vids and it’s too bad all this came about. Both CAP and APCW are very valuable to affiliates. Would be nice if we could just all ‘get along’
So – didn’t mean to offend, if I did. I am not casting judgement on anyone in this situation, I hope it didn’t come across that way. If so, I apologize as I think you are doing what you feel is proper.
WOW This is very sad.
I like J. Todd and feel that he has done a good job of keeping those that are interested informed of igaming issues.That being said, you have to do what is best for CAP and no one should think less of you for it.
Over the years I’ve seen a few attack CAP for making a ton of money and it amazes me how some people think that it is any of their business??? So what if you make thousands a month for each forum. That’s LIFE! Get over it. Some are fortunate to make more in this industry than others, but it does not mean that you should become a target for it.
There will always be competition so keep doing what you are doing, enjoy life and don’t sweat the small stuff! :cappy: If someone else can do it better then more power to them and it could just make CAP stronger. I’ve always done my best work under pressure! LMAOOOOOO

This just throws me for a loop ? I’m quite disappointed, I cant believe he did that!
If possible I hope you guys can patch this upHe had some good info and comic relief but lately he was a bit over the edge with his vids promoting himself a bit too much I usually include his vids every week but have left out a few recently for that reason.
BradWhat bothers me the most is Lou has helped J Todd over the past few years and then says Lou is greedy. Someone should be gratefull for being helped out like Lou has for J Todd. The truth in all this is jealousy and times being hard.
Unfortunately the people who are angeres at the ones making lots of income are the ones that so desperately want to be that person. I learned early on not to be mad at the success of others but to mimic it and learn from it. Trying to get there by the means J Todd is using never ends up good.

I hear ya Captain. Money mixed with a few other problems will cause some people to do some desperate and crazy things.
I’ve had the same thing happen to me in this industry a couple times. You help someone above what a “friend” would do or what should be expected only to be stabbed in the back and stolen from.
Such a shame and family/business comes at all times and I would do what I had to do to defend mine as well. I hate to see this shit happening as you know I stay out of the politics side of the biz and try to remain neutral, I am so damn stressed trying to get this new house in order I can’t even remember my own name some days…lol So less stress for me is better I will be in my corner if anyone needs me.
I hope things can be worked out as well, I think we all need to work together and not against each other for sure but things happen and that is not always possible. One thing I can agree on 100% is the way the audits ended that was a bummer.
Guys I think I know what set J Todd off.
Ok follow me here as there are several parts which lead to an end.
1. Several weeks ago we contacted Gambling Wages and indicated we were most likely going to decertify them. Despite new affiliate management there we were unhappy with their overall perfomance for affiliates and the fact that via direct contact they are generally unresponsive. The casinos are shaving commissions with their rediculous Manger Credits and Bonuses and they knew it. We stated that in order to continue on at CAP serious improvements would need to be made and we also increased their rate for certification. The increase was a yearly one that applies to everyone, plus additional costs to manage their account and monitor their performance. While Marty had no problem with any of this and was eager to stay onboard CAP and improve their program Tej and Amit hit the roof. We went back and forth with them for weeks and we even had to close their forum for a short period of time to show them we meant business. Eventually they did agree to all of the above, but Tej and Amit were still annoyed.
2. A few weeks J Todd announced he was dropping Gambling Wages and did a negative piece on them in his video. The fact is he hadnt recieved payment to APCW from Gambling Wages and I dont blame him for getting upset. Within a day or so he retracted everything as he had finally been paid.
3. J Todd is flying down to see Tej and Amit in Costa Rica in a few weeks. He even invited several others to join him, all expenses paid, to meet with Gambling Wages.
My theory:
When we were at odds with Tej and Amit they decided to hedge their bet. They knew if they were dropped from CAP there was no legitimate association or community who was endorsing them. They figured J Todd and APCW was a cheap and easy target to gain some credibility back if they lost CAP. So they paid him the money they owed him and dangled a huge carrot in front of his nose. Since times are tough for everyone including Todd he jumped on it. This is what set him off. He is flying down to meet with his new “Angel Investors” and he knew they were upset with us so to curry favor he pulled this shit to impress them and show he was going to reward their support.
Amazing but true I think.
Whats sad is Tej and Amit are manipulating J Todd and will burn him in the end when he has out lived his usefulness. He’s burning his bridges now so when the bomb drops he ends up in a far worse position. They figure it’s win win for them. J Todds videos mean less so let him scream if he doesnt like it, less people will hear. And the other win is they tweak our noses a little for getting tough with them.
After all this crap occured we did get them to table and get them to agree to shape up, so I dont know how much longer J Todd will be needed by them.
What a business…
We have both been worked by GW.I feel sad for J Todd, but he should have had more sense then to get led down this path.

Could not believe that when I read it the first time… Going on and on about how he was the one in the most immediate danger… (bottom of the second page)… HE put himself into the situation and then he wanted OTHERS to step up to the plate..
After that he started his videos.. weird for me after that episode…
Simply a person who feels the need to make himself look important at every cost.
Never said anything before as many people seemed to like him, but this is simply another “check” on the list that makes him unbearable in my eyes.
My 2 cents.. sorry if I have offended and am not worried if he hears about his post.. stand behind what I say.
