Besides baseball..
I’m trying to anticipate how dead it’s going to be
I guess August, at least College Footbal and NFL preseason starts late in the month…
But June/July? Doesn’t look too good eh :Cry:May 25, 2007 at 3:43 pm #737901AnonymousInactiveJune you have the belmont stakes, as well as the occasinoal NBA pro playoffs. In July is Baseball as you mentioned, and apart from that it is fairly quiet on the US side for sports.
May 25, 2007 at 10:12 pm #737928AnonymousInactiveYou need to look a little further afield.
There is
– Tennis : French open and Wimbledon.
– Soccer : Euro2008 qualifiers and Copa America (south American championship)
– Rugby : Tri-NationsOr are you just interested in American punters ?
sigh.gifMay 30, 2007 at 8:17 pm #738352AnonymousInactiveYou may also want to look at Big Brother Tv prog. in the UK which starts 30th May.
UK bookmakers are predicting a record year for betting turnover.
May 30, 2007 at 8:59 pm #738355AnonymousInactiveTraffic is pretty low right now. All you can do is wait, get your websites ready by having good books before the busy season.
June 29, 2007 at 7:30 pm #741157AnonymousInactiveAustralia V New Zealand tomorrow! I have a bets with a few people in my rugby team. If Australia win (which will happen) the New Zealand boys must wear a wallaby jersey for the day!
If New Zealand then…. I can not say the rest
July 1, 2007 at 6:27 pm #741339AnonymousInactiveTour de France and qualification matches for UEFA Cup and Champions League also starts in Juli, but the summer of 2007 (as all other uneven years) lacks large sporting events like the Football World Cup, Olympics etc.
July 1, 2007 at 9:48 pm #741346WineGuyMemberWhat do you guys think about August… in particular, NFL preseason which begins Aug 5th?
Will this create OK activity for US bettors?July 3, 2007 at 9:08 pm #741552AnonymousInactiveFrom experience the NFL Preseason brings in some bettors, but what really starts to bring in the bettors is college football near the end of August. But you will find August 20th the activity will pick up.
October 3, 2011 at 10:50 am #818786RachelRegevMemberThere’s always lots of rugby on if you target the Australian / Kiwi markets…

June 13, 2012 at 5:27 pm #825385bullbarcomMemberApologies, I didn’t notice until now that this thread is pretty old. It was fairly high up on the first page so I assumed it was referring to 2012 sporting events.
Anyway, hopefully my reply above will be useful to anyone interested!

June 15, 2012 at 9:48 pm #825452AnonymousInactivedaweller, I get the sense that you’re mainly focusing on US sports. You should thinking globally and you’ll realize that there’s HUGE opportunities all summer long. Soccer is the biggest game in the world and Euro 2012 is running now. At the end of July you have the Olympics.
Also focus on other sports like MMA, Tennis, Golf, and before you know it you’ll be writing about 2-3 events per day.
