This is the supposed miracle formula, finding out about these items:

    Within seconds find out …

Your competitor’s entire linking strategy, which includes:

The page your link is located on
The IP Address of the website linking to you or a competitor
Whether or not they’re still linked back to your website
The Google of their links page
The Alexa Rank of your link partner’s website
The page title of the webpage your link resides on
The anchor text surrounding your link
The total number of times a specified keyword appears within your anchor text
The percentage of websites that a specified anchor text exists within your anchor text.
The total number of outbound links on the webpage your link resides on
The total number of links on the the webpage your link resides on.
Allows you to do a “whois search” on the website your link resides on so you can easily call them up on the telephone if you wish.
The email address of the website your link resides on
The link popularity of the webpage your link resides on
Calculates the average Page Rank of all the websites pointing to your website
Calculates the number of PR0-10 websites linking to your website
Summarizes the number of links from each IP Address

Most of these things you should know already or you can find out for free.

Personally I think http://www.golexa.comx is a better tool for optimization and its free.

Yes I have it, but it does not work that great. You can not trust the data it provides you.

I have it also. It works ok. There are some nice features, but the price tag is a little steep for the features it has right now.

I do have http://reciprocalmanager.com and I like it real well..

If your wanting to check back links seolite will say they are not linking back when the sites actually are. So you then have to manually check to verify it is correct.

I have the very latest seoelite. Krystall2 is correct, it will sometimes show that you are not backlinked to someone when you are… and vice versa.

It you are looking to check links, that is not really what seoelite is all about anyway… So I would use Rebrand’s Reciprocal Link Checker. It is a good program, although you will definitely want to go to lunch or bed after clicking the ‘GO’ button. :)

(Their site appears to be down right now, though)

I am not sure about Reciprocal Manager, though. Never used it.

Had been considering using it for finding link partners, but in our industry there are so many you can find right here or with simple searches, it doesn’t quite seem worth the price tag to use SEOElite to do it for you. One word of caution, don’t use the feature for automatially building your links pages, you run the risk of a Google ban (so I have read) with that feature.

    I have used it….. Its kinda crappy…

“you run the risk of a Google ban (so I have read) with that feature.”

    Spot on Web

Google will recognize these pages and ignore them to the best of my knowledge. DO NOT use the link page building feature if you value your link pages….

As far as checking for recips…. When I realized it wasnt accurate I stopped using it. Whats the point if it isnt accurate… I was doing double the work…

The better autogenerated linkpages are in static html and don’t leave any links on your linkpage back to the site of the script/software if you dont want to so there is no way Google can detect this.

You can however leave a (affiliate) link back to the script/software site without Google being able to detect it. Just use a (affiliate) linkcloaker.

Have tried seoelite before but not really a fan

Previously having spend money trying different things in the past, the best tools for work on sites I have found here (those tools where my eyes and trying to use my head)

http://www.seochat.com/ – no not a forum but good articles and pointers in the right direction

I have used it.. and still do. I do not think it is a junky program or bad in any way. It depends upon how and why it is used, like any other program. I think it is a little pricey, but hey… I was new and willing to try it out :)

I use it once a week for ranking checking. It keeps track of all your keywords and where you rank thoughout the time you use it… So, you can see a chart of your progress or lack thereof.
