For now, make sure all search engines are blocked.
Then add content. Make sure it’s all original or google will penalize you.
Make sure you have your meta title, description and keywords done for all pages.
Then let us know it’s been updated and we’ll give you more advice. Sorry but there just isn’t enough there yet.February 20, 2012 at 10:24 pm #821661gambling manMemberHi Fonzi,
Thanks for the input, how do I block the search engines? How much content on average do I need.
Thanks
Mick
February 20, 2012 at 10:41 pm #821663AnonymousInactiveadd this somewhere between head and /head and in your header to block search engines. make sure to put < before and > after that code.
meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex,nofollow’ /
Typically google doesn’t like any page with less than 450 words. I typically use 500 – 800 for pages.
meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex,nofollow’ /
Typically google doesn’t like any page with less than 450 words. Overall, great site. However for me (on Google Chrome) the load time took a bit… You may want to look into that and figure out what’s causing it to be too clunky…
There’s quite a bit of empty space… are you looking to update with more copy?
Also, I would suggest that you include Copyright info & your terms and conditions.
With the links to “Download” “Play Online” and “Sign-up Free Trial” what are those for? You may want to give more info- without it, visitors will certainly be reluctant to click.
The “Find Us on Facebook” column… I would suggest adding more info. That’s valuable real estate for each page- you need to have stronger calls to action!
Just a suggestion… on Wed this week (Feb. 22nd) at 9am PST, we’re hosting a Free & Live webinar on site conversion & optimization, hosted by Tim Ash. He’s the best in the biz and will be sharing some awesome info. It may be worth it to join! Here’s the sign-up link: CAP Site Conversion Webinar
Best of luck to you!

You have no casinos that allow US players – might want to point that out – in case you get US clicks
You also have to figure out a keyword phrase – “Harrogate Casino Online” is probably not a good one
post when you add more things to your site

February 22, 2012 at 2:31 pm #821758Carl Zide at OngameMemberIt looks great and the advice offered here made sense to me as well. Earlier the limit used to 300 words for Google but I learnt it has gone up.
February 22, 2012 at 8:37 pm #821776gambling manMemberHi all,
I sat in on the webinar but it’s left me slightly confused, Tim Ash said animations and rotating banners were a no-no, most of the programs I’ve signed up for use this type of advertising? Also on the websites he reviewed he basically said some of them contained too much text which looked no where near 300 words? Am I missing something here?

I believe he was probably saying this due to the fact that banner blindness is prevalent. On our sister site, pokeraffiliateprograms.com, I implemented some facebook style banner ads with a small static image and a small blurb of text, and saw our CTR more than DOUBLE to these kind of banner ads. Have a look at this example:
Keep in mind that just because a program has an animated banner ad, doesn’t mean you’re stuck with it. Screenshot it, resize it, and make it fit to your needs to boost your conversions.

Been thinking about this option and I’m going to look at changing the adverts, the only downside I can see is that the animated adverts give out more information, e.g. details of match bonus, etc and they keep themselves up-to-date. Also is there anywhere to pick up a copy of terms and conditions?
Thanks
Mick
