Under terms of the order, the online gambling operator will be barred from either agreeing or arranging to move cash within or outside of Antiguan and Barbudan boundaries without the approval and knowledge of the Financial Services Regulatory Commission.
The order comes in light of the settlement between the United States and BetonSports.
Former BoS CEO David Carruthers was arrested on American soil earlier in the year.
“We believe that the United States should step aside and ensure that our regulators can enforce and oversee the application of the laws of Antigua and Barbuda to the orderly dissolution of BetonSports,” said FSRC chairman Lebrecht Hesse.
“We are disappointed that the United States efforts to prohibit cross-border competition in gambling and betting services have led to the disruption of a once-healthy and robust service provider, but we are just as adamant that our jurisdiction be respected in the interests of consumers and others.”
