Hi,
I recieved this letter today from planet poker.
Hi Steve,

2.1 Linking to Planet Poker
Affiliate sites must display Planet Poker banners and/or text links at all times. Failure to do so may result in termination of the affiliate account. Additionally, affiliate accounts will be closed following 90 days of inactivity (no new signups and/or no new accumulated earnings).
Terminated accounts are subject to a $30 administration fee, and a bank draft will be issued for any unpaid balance in excess of $30.That’s rich from a place that makes me all of $1 per day. I wrote them back and said I’d just take them down and then they could go on with the happy knowledge that I wasn’t breaking the terms rules about banners anymore.
But of course what really bothers me is the 90 day term. That’s BS!

August 19, 2004 at 6:19 pm #653633AnonymousInactiveI just received a similar email from Brandy Casino, who were recently encouraging message board spam promoting their casino with the contest.
I emailed them back to feel free to cancel my account.
As a former affiliate manager, I never felt the need to threaten to cancel someone’s affiliate account if they didn’t show my links. I always contacted the affiliate to find out what the problem was and how to fix it.

and/or?
Closing just because of no new accumulated earnings? All’s you can do is send them players. It’s up to them to convert the player after they get to their site. Maybe they shouldn’t offer free play.
August 19, 2004 at 8:06 pm #653640AnonymousInactiveI received the same email. I told them to send my my password. (i lost it when my old computer crashed) i still haven’t heard back. Mind you I’m not really considering pushing them now. I dont like threats at all.
