There is more than enough proof of 888.com involvement and a law suite is plausible. I cannot say why this would be unfavorable at this point.
The london stock exchange has several ethical principles and guidelines for companies to follow. A company such as 888.com can easily be suspended. Even the financial section of the London Times would love to hear this story.
The person’s I have named are have viewed my site the IP’s are recorded.
It is clear we are being ingnored for a reason. Come Friday I am hoping to have this all wrapped up. Tempers will flare! greek39^*tna
April 20, 2006 at 2:03 am #689236AnonymousInactiveRock on. I want to see this ended and all the scrapers down.
April 20, 2006 at 2:49 pm #689292AnonymousInactiveThe links posted on this thread have been checked, and the if scrapping is being committed, it is in no done by 888.com. Nor is scrapping supported by 888.com.
I think that every post in the past which contained a link to a scrapper was handled either by closing down the affiliate account, or by getting the affiliate to clean up his site – after we have gotten the permission from the affiliate with the original content to do so. The same will be done for the links on this thread that belong to a webmaster that is actually promoting 888 brands.
As for 888.com – scrapping is not something the company does. It is true we use many of our own URL’s and many different landing pages to support our own SEO efforts, but these ARE our own efforts.
As for a meeting – I suggest that with the help of the forum’s moderator we set up a meeting to take place during the conference in Miami, where I will be glad to meet you all face to face and discuss your suggestions on how to deal with scrapping.
Sincerely

April 20, 2006 at 3:18 pm #689299AnonymousInactiveYou can either post it or PM me with it. thanks.

All this righteousness is really getting to me. I would like to see it as would a ton of other people.

Excuse me?
Every affiliate that doesn’t promote you is fair game and you will use their work anyway without permission to promote yourself?
What is wrong with that picture?
I for one will not run campaigns for you until you stop stealing from me, like here:

Kwblue: you are exactly right, they are using the Clinton methodology to claim they are not doing it; when in all likelihood they are directly connected to the unethical activities.
While they may not currently be doing it in-house, they do appear to be none the less directly associated with it. I just read on another site that 888 has additionally used blog and forum spamming to promote their brands.
If you are a doubter that 888 is involved in these unethical practices go do a backlink’s check for some of the portals they operate (online-casino.com for instance) and you will see loads of such SPAM! If you are a doubter do some research on 888 & malware. And you have to look no further than on this forum for tons of 888 & scraper data. IMO it’s indisputable proof that they are willing to do what ever it takes to promote their brands even if it is unethical.
Maybe its time to take this issue directy to the authorities or the LSE and let their ethics committee deal with the mountain of evidence.

April 20, 2006 at 6:06 pm #689338AnonymousInactiveI don’t think this is cloaking. I think you might have pointed to 2 separate pages.
The correct default is: index.php and matches the homepage.
