A scraper who is providing a direct link to 888.com? I think so. greek39^*nsP.S I would anticipate some reimburment for the affiliate site that has been scraped.
April 19, 2006 at 2:59 am #689133AnonymousInactiveThere is alot more to come. greek39
April 19, 2006 at 3:03 am #689134AnonymousInactiveAny webmasters wishing me to gather up some 888.com scrapes of their site just PM me. greek39
April 19, 2006 at 8:03 am #689146AnonymousInactiveShelly,
I was deadly serious about setting up a meeting with John. I am across the road from Cassava’s offices and feel that if you ( 888.com ) value your affiliates highly, you would help to facilitate a meeting between myself and John, to discuss the concerns many casino webmasters have – concerning 888.com and their apparent support of site scraping.
Having met John a couple of times in the past, I have always found him to be an open and straight up individual. Indeed, many of the other casinos based here on the rock have been very helpful in putting time aside for me so I can meet with them.
If you are unable to help, perhaps it may be worthwhile that I call Andrew at eCogra and see if he is able to arrange a meeting with John and myself.
April 19, 2006 at 3:07 pm #689174AnonymousInactiveWe have all bent over backwards in the persuit of fairness and ethical standards. In return we get ignored. I spent countless hours on this topic providing names, direct proof 888.com practices in a unethical manner. What more do I have to post?
We have tried diplomacy and behaved in a professional manner and still we are ignored. I wonder what more can I do? start posting addresses, ants and uncles involved, cars these scrapers drive, their favorite holiday spots, screen shots or mug shots. I would not because that is not the person I am.
Please tell me why 888.com is so ignorant to the facts? I only want solutions not problems.
I am trying very hard so are others to avoid the nasty alternatives. 888.com may has the financial resources but we have the knowledge. What is worth more? money or knowledge?
Arrange the meeting Shelly I have more damming proof hoping diplomacy works. greek39^*jas
April 19, 2006 at 3:37 pm #689179AnonymousInactiveGreek. I think a good way to get their attention is to post 1 piece of evidence daily. That will keep the post active for all to see. This will keep their affiliate signups to a minimum until they resolve the problem. Not to mention that the post will probably begin to rank for 888.com on the SE’s which means anyone searching for them can see what they are up to.
April 19, 2006 at 5:39 pm #689189AnonymousInactiveI have been following this thread for quite some time now and I dont like what I see. 888.com has shown way too much incompetence in the way they handle problems. They may have been professional in the past but they are unprofessional now. There are too many posts getting stuck on 888 and i’ve been hearing too many bad things about them.
First of all, CAP member egoistche had his account blocked because of bad customers, which he has no control of and it wasn’t his fault, nor was it intentional, yet you don’t block accounts for scrapping and breaking copyright rules??? This is incompetence. Then 888.com comes back and says:
Egoistche, It seems that the third email you received was mistakenly sent by the support representative on duty that day.
Sounds like alot of confusion and incompetence going on at 888 headquarters.:sarcasm:
Second, CAP member shoevenus got his account closed because of bonus abusers. Again, he has no control over this and it wasn’t intentional, so why should he be penalized. 888.com refused to pay him $84,000. So why the hell did 888 wait until it got up to $84,000 before they decided to cut him off and run with his money??? Yet 888.com allows scrappers to run free and they dont shut their accounts down, which I think is more incompetence on their part. 888 repsonds with this:
It is true that our system allows players to enjoy a generous bonus, but that fact should be used to approach users who are actually interested in playing. It is true that we do see bonus abusers come in from almost every marketing channel we utilize, but there are specific channels where the bonus abusers are the majority of the users referred. Our experience reviles that in most cases, the wording or the promotion in these channels was appealing more to the bonus abuser than to the average player.
Basically, why the HELL does 888.com let people deposit money and get a bonus and then withdrawl their deposit and play with bonuses??? Just about every online casino nowadays has wagering requirements and will not let you withdrawl until you meet those requirements. So why doesn’t 888.com do this? They are incompetent and their software is quite crappy and can’t support this kind of feature. At least this is what I think since they still don’t do this. They could also be doing this as a way to steal money from an affiliate when they reach a huge amount like $84000. For example, read what else 888 responded with:
Our intention is not to “rip-off” the affiliate in not paying. We do not pay the commissions since we are being “ripped off” in these cases as well. In any of these cases we immediately stop the campaign so that we cease to appear in that marketing channel.
Immediatly huh???:notify: Don’t think so buddy, you waited until shoevenus had $84,000 built up and THEN screwed him over thinking that this is worth more than the affiliate so you could afford to cut him. This doesn’t sound like immediatly stopping the campaign, it sounds more like you waited until he had a big nest egg first, and then you close his account and keep his income. This is more incompetence on 888.coms part, they haven’t been performing to the standards that they say. It sounds like 888.com is lost and confused on how they run their business.
888.com also says this about the CPA deal:
As you know we cancelled our CPA scheme for NEW affiliates. All those on CPA are affiliates that signed up bofore November 1. Unfortunately, we still encouter cases in which we have to close down accounts, but I am glad tosay that the percentage of these instances has dropped significantly.
If and when we do reapply CPA it will unforteunately have to be closer to what the rest of the market is offering as CPA commissions, and all accounts will be carefully monitored from day 1.:unhappy: More incompetence… If CPA is not working and you cancel it for new affililate, why the hell dont you just cancel if for everyone right then (unless you want to do more stealing nest eggs like you did with shoevenus). Also “if and when we do REAPPLY CPA!? Why the hell would you reapply CPA if it is a failure!? That is totally incompetent and sounds like you are speaking in confused double talk.:grunt:
Third, I’m tired of 888.com trying to patronize CAP member greek39 and ignoring all of his posts about sites being scraped, 888.com isn’t doing anything about it and this is what 888.com says:
Just to clarify things, these links too belong to one of Empire Online’s (Tradal)affiliates, just as the ones you posted yesterday.
Tradal are one of our super affiliates, but managing their affiliate’s accounts is totally up to them.
Again, regarding these 2 affiliates you are complaining about, I’d advise you to contact Tradal directly.Nope Nope :bored: more incompetence again. Tradal is a proven scrapping “super affiliate” of 888.com, but 888.com can’t manage their account, that is complete incompetence, an affiliate is an affiliate, end of story. 888 sure as hell can manage their account and close them down. Tradal is a PROVEN scrapper and I demand that their account be closed down. Plus, tradal is an affiliate, so why don’t YOU contact them, it sounds like 888 has some work ethic problems and are lazy and can’t contact tradal themselfs, 888 is supposed to serve their affiliates, not send them on wild goose chases and doing your work. It’s YOUR goddamn affiliate for crying out loud! This just goes to show how screwed up the system is down there and an lack of competence in job performance.Even the service is crappy sheesh!…. having affiliates doing the management work… yeah.. right.
888 comes back with this:
As I said before in this thread – not only is this a Tradal affiliate, he isn’t even directing to our brands – therefore I DO NOT see 888 accountable for whoever this person is actions. I fail to see why you all refuse to contact them directly.
Well why are you saying they are your super affiliate then!? It sounds alot like you are confused and have gone astray 🙁 , or 888 doesnt have the competence to know who their biggest affiliates are and keep them in line.
I don’t even think 888.com should be a certified program on CAP anymore. I have shown the proof of incompetence and they follow immoral practices and the scrapping has to stop, thats hurting affiliates and other competitors and the whole industry itself, especially with their spyware and getting on googles nerves with scrapping, everyone is going to lose. They may have proven themselves worthy in the past, but things change and management changes and things go down the shitter moralwise when companys get too big. Just because they are the biggest and first one out there doesnt mean they have to be on CAP anymore.
I think 888.com is a big joke, im laughing as im writing this:satisfied . It feels good to vent. My site is being scraped by 888 and I have proof of this now, 888 hasnt done a damm thing about this and I want something done to get these scrappers to stop scrapping my site and everyone else’s site right NOW, not later. I’m not going to promote 888.com anymore, they are immoral and they look for every little thing to cheat the affiliate, and im sick and tired of the spyware from 888 and especially their gay stupid retarded gator program that keeps getting stuck in my computer (dammitall!!), im sick and tired of it!:grunt: I am going to blacklist 888 on my site just for that. Besides, I think their software is crap and their affiliate statistic page is crappy and loads up way too slow, the whole thing is backwards.
I would just advise any new affiliates not to sign up with 888, just sign up and advertise golden palace instead at casino blasters, they are easier to promote, I’ve never heard any problems with them, look at their forum if you want proof. They also give out a better revenue share percentage and better CPA without the horseshit terms and conditions that 888 does, they also are immune to bonus abusers, so you wont have to worry about your account getting shut down out of no where from some random player, their software is smooth and fast loading and I like their statistic and developer page, which 888 doesn’t even have, or if it is, it’s horribly in first draft hell codewise…
Here is a learning experience for you Shelly, observe a distress by CAP Admin. Professor and take a look at how a competent casino blasters fixes scrapping issues  : http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/rick-and-jeff-we-need-your-help-cap-content-stolen-by-blasters-affiliate.11029.html?
This is how the job gets done the right way, no avoiding the problems and screwing around. This goes as proof for new affiliates to go to casino blasters too. It’s like a breath of fresh air and no anxiety and is incredibly simple to get solutions to problemsThe scrapping done by 888 better stop, its illegal.
My 52 cents
April 19, 2006 at 5:48 pm #689190AnonymousInactiveNot communicating doesn’t help.
This thread is going to get longer and longer and sooner or later someone will post a link in one of the investment forums.
Just pull all the scrapers and let’s get on.
April 19, 2006 at 5:50 pm #689191AnonymousInactiveHere is another site for 888.com
http://www.casinoonnet-online.com
With all the information thus far it appears quite obvious to me 888.com is spamming the search engines. Same site different domain name same owners 888.com.
One could look at it this way one domain who’s sole purpose is to redirect to another domain. Perhaps some cloaking going on here? maybe falsley representing the company? greek39^* lt
Alot more to come.
April 19, 2006 at 5:56 pm #689192AnonymousInactiveI will add, 888.com needs webmasters for one thing. That is so we apply our hard work and optimize our sites and rank high so 888.com can just come along and scrape it. Outrageous!!! greek39
April 19, 2006 at 6:22 pm #689194AnonymousInactiveExcellent post, Back in ’52.
Greek — keep up the good work. You are doing a wonderful job researching and posting your findings here. Hats off to you.
April 19, 2006 at 6:27 pm #689196AnonymousInactiveThank you Engineer, more is to follow. I sent a deadline for Friday if no progress is made by then the alternate route will be takin. greek39

I will not sit still while you steal from me.
This is my last week of patience.
Not only am I being stolen from, I am also being totally ignored.
April 19, 2006 at 7:51 pm #689202AnonymousInactiveIf anyone has 100% definitive proof of theft and 888 involvement, I would say a law suit (class action) would definitely put a damper on their stock prices.
April 19, 2006 at 9:57 pm #689210AnonymousInactiveI hope your ‘proof’ is good enough to stand up in court, Greek.
I have 84,000 good reasons to see these guys BURIED.
(Or maybe you have your own way of taking them down…)
