But this is not our affiliate, and I have no way to trace this guy in our system. We have always taken action against affiliates that were promoting our brands, and were registered in our system.
Since this affiliate is not making his money off of us, I fail to see what power we will have over him to make him stop what he is doing.
If you think otherwise, I’ll be glad to hear what you suggest I do.
Since he is redirecting to Empire Online’s brands, I suggest you try to contact them to take action on this one.
You claim you are about to shut him down, so I would just like to know how you do it, and if he really stops. That is what I meant by keep us posted.thanks, and sorry again.
ShellyApril 9, 2006 at 2:39 pm #688343AnonymousInactiveThere is no escape I have too much info this time. I can link 888.com to this scraping with concrete proof. Others I would assume will join in soon.
April 9, 2006 at 2:41 pm #688344AnonymousInactiveAs I’ve said many time before, and personally on the phone to you in the past, I’ll be glad to receive any information that links any of these scrappers to insiders of 888.com.
April 9, 2006 at 2:51 pm #688346AnonymousInactiveThe time for chatter is over, we will rip this site apart. Good work on the quick changes. Watch the Magic happen, good luck 888.com. The site will come down for good . Don’t plan on any Ddos attacks I am prepared. This site will be on Pluto by the end of the week. greek^* jarfling

April 9, 2006 at 8:13 pm #688358AnonymousInactiveThe site is now redirecting to the cpays group of casinos last night it was 888.com. But I find it interesting when visiting the link its a scrape of 888.com they don’t seem to care.
Alot more to follow, I have the best group working on this.

April 10, 2006 at 1:06 am #688367AnonymousInactiveIts only going to get worse, my scraper link is gone already. But what about the rest of the honest webmasters? I assure you the games are going to end. If you think your big fat wallet is going to save you think again. Greek39^*
April 10, 2006 at 1:41 am #688370AnonymousInactiveNow lets go back in time for the domain http://gambling.dolev-yomel.com/
March 2005 I find this http://www.888casino.com/main.cgi?refererID=502798
February 2005 I find this http://www.888casino.com/main.cgi?refererID=502798
September 2004 I find this http://www.888casino.com/main.cgi?refererID=502798
I will point out in the archives of http://gambling.dolev-yomel.com/ would suggest this fellow has been working for 888.com in the past. So there is a linkage here, and to a certain degree of proof that 888.com does practice and endorses the scraping of sites.
There is more coming. greek39^* caller
April 10, 2006 at 9:04 am #688384AnonymousInactiveJust to clarify things, these links too belong to one of Empire Online’s (Tradal)affiliates, just as the ones you posted yesterday.
Tradal are one of our super affiliates, but managing their affiliate’s accounts is totally up to them.
Again, regarding these 2 affiliates you are complaining about, I’d advise you to contact Tradal directly.
Thanks
shellyApril 10, 2006 at 11:48 am #688387AnonymousInactiveThank you shelly, I got what I wanted. There is some more to come, I have been tracking Tradal form quite sometime now.
April 10, 2006 at 12:06 pm #688388AnonymousInactiveHey Shelly,
Thanks, as always, for your help. I would like to know, however, why Tradal is allowed to copy people’s content? Other affiliate programs would have shut a user down for breaching copyrights.
Thanks.
April 10, 2006 at 2:57 pm #688400AnonymousInactive888.com wrote:Tradal are one of our super affiliates, but managing their affiliate’s accounts is totally up to them. That is completely ridiculous — what a bullshit response. Basically, you are saying that Tradal can do whatever they want, and you will just sit there behind your desk and allow it to happen? Tradal’s affiliates can scrape, spam, cloak, redirect, and copy other webmasters’ sites word for word, and all 888 will do is sit there and tell the ethical webmasters, “Tradal can manage their affiliates however they want”?I’m sorry, but that just isn’t right.
Why don’t you pick up the phone and call Tradal, and try to work this out? 888 should not be doing as little as possible to address these important issues — issues which affect many, many webmasters — issues that, if left ignored, will eventually lead to the downfall of 888, Tradal, and whoever else you do business with.
Honest webmasters ask for help, and you “help” them by telling them it’s out of your control. When something actually is in your control (i.e. if the scraper is one of your direct affiliates), you ask for a list of offending sites, or a list of offending (scraped) keyword phrases — to give to the scraper so that he can remove only the sites / scraped keywords that have been noticed, while keeping everything else intact. Why you allow these people to continue operating is beyond me. If I was in charge, I could cease doing business with these rogues to protect my company’s reputation.
Affiliates of Tradal who promote 888.com are affiliated with 888.com. 888.com ultimately has the power to step in and take action. Please don’t act like you have no control over this — clearly you do. Obviously one of your super affiliates is not more powerful than the parent company. For you to say otherwise is laughable.
One last thing — When we find a scraper site promoting 888, we have no way to know whether the affiliate is signed up through 888 or Tradal. That’s why we come to you for help, because you are 888.com. So, it would be very, very helpful if you could find a way to communicate with Tradal whenever issues like this come up. There must be someone over there who you could call or email to get matters like this handled quickly. Just an idea.
April 10, 2006 at 3:05 pm #688402AnonymousInactiveThanks Engineer and kwblue I do need the support. I have no finger prints left from typing. Both are very valid points, soon Shelly you will see I am not alone. I request something be done because the alternative is God awlful. greek39 swfr
