I really wish you’d post more of them now, when they are so very useful….
June 26, 2006 at 2:52 am #696738AnonymousInactiveThey have plenty to go on, thats to say if they resolve the issues already presented then they can go onto the next. In lots of cases by “actually” resolving an issue they will be killing more than one bird with the one stone since the sites are often related in groups of dozens, hundreds, and even thousands.
If they are sincere they will become proactive, no need for us to do all the work for them.

Quote:I would like 888 to address the issues I bring forth…Again, why?
Why do you seem to want 888 to acknowledge every single act of spam in public? What is that going to accomplish?
Personally I just want to see them stop it.
I really don’t care about how the spaming was done or even who did it, I just want it to stop.
I don’t know if the guy from 888 is going to come here and blow smoke up our buts or tell us to shove it where the sun don’t shine or maybe not show up at all.
But I do know that if he shows up and sz they are going to take action against these spammers, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Of course, I am not going to blindly believe what this guy from 888 says. As I said before, I want to see action.
The folks from 888 have not earned any trust as far as I am concerned.
I want to see all those 888 spam pages returning a 404 before I will pull any link, article or page of mine about 888 being blacklisted.
Quote:lots0 you should be more open minded; more times than not origins of information, its couriers and its purveyors often remain behind the scenes.I have no clue at all what you mean by that, :eh: but I will try to be more open minded in the future.
June 26, 2006 at 3:26 am #696743AnonymousInactiveMany people behind the scenes know a little more than yu think. Spamming is but one issue. I say no more on the matter, I am being held back from doing what I think is the right approach.
I leave this thread, and won’t be returnning to it, nor will I cough up information in regards to it and I will not be changing my mind about it. Good Luck!! greek39
June 26, 2006 at 3:30 am #696744AnonymousInactiveI did not mean to insult. We are on the same side here. We just seem to have differing views on how to deal with the problem.
June 26, 2006 at 4:30 am #696746AnonymousInactiveI don’t know how this turned into a thing where someone feels silghted?
Information about 888 scrapers is very welcome and useful, especially right now.
It will help expedite things.
June 26, 2006 at 4:49 am #696749AnonymousInactiveAnd then there is this http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/showthread.php?p=75162#post75162
I found a lot of these living off my site and turned them in and they have disappeared.
They seem to show up all over though…
June 26, 2006 at 3:17 pm #696769vladcizsolMemberGuys please see this important update:

June 26, 2006 at 3:31 pm #696770AnonymousInactiveFrom what I see this is a good first step.
But I really want to see all those spam domains/pages returning 404s… As soon as possible…
June 26, 2006 at 3:45 pm #696772AnonymousInactiveThanks for this Professor. I am prepared to pull my 888 Blacklist page depending on the hopeful positive action 888 take.
This is a very good development.
June 26, 2006 at 4:31 pm #696775AnonymousInactiveI am prepared to pull my 888 Blacklist page depending on the hopeful positive action 888 take.
I wouldn’t go all that far, yet.
I am going to change the definite blacklisting to a probationary period.
I am travelling and it looks like I will not be home til after the weekend, but then I plan to change the 888 page to a probational one.
I am hoping all the linkpartners agree to do the same.
June 26, 2006 at 4:39 pm #696776AnonymousInactiveYes, its good that they are saying they will do something, but they said that before and the end result was that they were rogued.
What has changed? Why should we believe that they now wish to address these issues on their word alone? I want to see results not hear meaningless babble. As was stated “gauging progress based upon visible, verifiable and meaningful changes and not merely on public or private statements” until we see the positive changes, I see no reason to pull pages or to change their status.
June 26, 2006 at 5:10 pm #696777AnonymousInactiveI agree with axl, I am not going to change anything and I will continue with my current plans reguarding 888, until I see some solid results from their end and if it takes too long too see any solid results from 888 I will just assume that 888 is blowing smoke up our butts…again.
I think tit for tat is maybe the best way to go right now, what with 888s past history and all.
I think the balls in their court now, I would like to see some real action from 888 before I do anything.
Like I said this is a good first step, but it is only a first step, much more is required from 888 before I will believe anything they have to say.
June 26, 2006 at 5:46 pm #696784AnonymousInactiveI agree with axl and lots0 here.
888 and the unethical affiliates promoting 888 have inflicted serious damage on many webmasters in the industry; the reputation of the industry itself has been damaged as well. I am not about to remove or edit my rogue page simply because another 888 employee has “promised” to take action. I have seen this before; I will be very surprised if we see some actual results. (Yeah, I’m a bit skeptical — what can I say.)
Therefore, I believe everyone should keep their rogue pages as they are, at least until we see concrete results. We shouldn’t forgive them or downgrade their status to “probation” first, and then *hope* they keep their promises. Think about the reason they were blacklisted in the first place — “ethics issues.” To suddenly have faith in a company that has been blacklisted because of known ethics issues doesn’t make any sense to me.
June 26, 2006 at 6:31 pm #696788AnonymousInactiveDominique,
I do hope you will reconsider editing your 888 rogue page until after we have seen some real meaningful actions from 888.
I understand why you want to take this step, I want this over too, but maybe its a little too soon yet to start giving concessions to 888.
