Were webmasters not already on this case long before that point in time trying to get them to do the right thing?
Sorry, somehing is giving me a very itchy feeling.
I doubt there are any roses to be found, but perhaps a shovel to move some of the dirt out of the way.
Be nice to do a little cleaning up.
June 23, 2006 at 9:20 pm #696568AnonymousInactiveWhat a mess it is!! Oh yeah on the lighter side my favorite movie “The Matrix” the third episode, “welcome back Mr. Anderson, so do you like what we have done to the place”.
Frankly I don’t know were to begin, being threatened by legal action I find most absurd at this point. I won’t antagonize 888 but come on really? Maybe we can clean up this mess before it gets worse. Save the industry!!
It seems quite apparent many people are quite frankly speaking their minds as they see it and have every right to do so. There are hundreds perhaps thousands such people, not all just CAP members. 888 was warned far in advance of this possible outcome, but failed to react.
This whole cat and mouse game has been going far too long, causing damage on both sides of the fence. I believe you are working on the problem and is appreciated.
I would start with the “one” then follow through. Consider also the super affiliate organizations that also handle your properties.

Try not reading what is there, but isn’t.
June 23, 2006 at 10:15 pm #696573AnonymousInactiveWell I am not really going to elaborate, but I am confident 888 knows what I am talking about. We are being threatened with some legal action, I will need this information in case it turns that way. greek39

June 24, 2006 at 12:56 am #696593AnonymousInactiveI have just received word from 888 regarding this: xhttp://seoblackhat.com/2006/06/05/seo-poker-tournament/x
It was the very first point I brought up in a mail exchange, and 888 says they will make sure to do no business with them from now on.
It’s a start.
They also invite everyone to submit emails with scraper sites to them.
There are no further communications planned until Monday morning.
June 24, 2006 at 1:06 am #696596AnonymousInactiveWell that makes me very happy indeed!! Its a step in the right direction. greek39
June 24, 2006 at 1:09 am #696598vladcizsolMemberThis is Deja Vu all over again….
We apologize when you catch us… Wont happen again… Send us emails and data…
Dom while I applaud your pluck I want to make it clear your discussions with 888 are not on behalf of CAP they are for your own personal enlightenment. If Nicolas wants to discuss things with CAP he knows where I am and he’s been invited to register here at CAP and post as a guest.
June 24, 2006 at 1:16 am #696599AnonymousInactiveI do agree Professor and would be delighted to see Nicholas here as well. He was the one who served CAP the letter. It would be more productive to have an open discussion on the matter for all CAP memebers. greek39
June 24, 2006 at 1:29 am #696604vladcizsolMemberThat’s exactly my point Greek. I don’t want 888 to have the impression that chatting in private with a member excused them from addressing the issue here.
These scrapers and black hatters are effecting ALL of us. I dont want them tickling the ears of one person in private and getting congratulated for moving in the right direction when there is no evidence of that.
You can’t get off the hook that easily Nicolas. We didnt all fall off a turnip truck. :dozing:
June 24, 2006 at 2:47 am #696608AnonymousInactiveI agree this is a public forum for all CAP members. Private convesations I believe does a disservice to all CAPSTERS. Nicholas come on board, many of us would love to hear your side of the story for the public record.
