Hi guys,
It’s been almost a year since I started my very first casino site. It’s been a bumpy ride, but overall I am very pleased, mostly with the things I have learned. It really is a very exciting and dynamic industry.
I have written most of the content myself and did the design. Given the fact that I knew absolutely nothing about web design, I’m quite proud when I get positive reviews from friends.
However, my friends are not fellow casino webmasters and their feedback is not very specific in relation to the world of online gaming.
So, I have come here again to ask some of you experienced webmasters and affiliates for a review and some tips. The site is in Portuguese, but I am sure that will not be a problem for you.
Casinos online seguros com bónus – Casino Direto
I would really appreciate some feedback.
Also, it would be great if you have a Facebook account and find it in your heart to like my page!

Thank you very much!

move the ‘slideshow’ to the bottom of the page – you have about 1/2 second to get the click and I think you might be losing a lot of customers because of thisFebruary 13, 2012 at 4:45 pm #821329bosshoggsMemberHi autonomas:
Thank you so much for sharing your site here on the forums and for sharing your story. For being in the industry for only 1 year- it looks like you are definitely on the right track. Just curious… how did you land in iGaming (always love to hear these stories!)
As for your site- great work. Here’s some suggestions:
1) Totally on board with Shotgunpete… If you are going to have a slideshow at the top of the page like you do… rather than just giving facts about online gaming (IE More women are getting involved in the space, etc.) I would dedicate the slideshow to special deals & promotions for players to get them hooked in.
2) The Twitter icon you have is quite big. Rather than taking up so much real estate there, I would suggest giving your visitors a reason as to why they should be following you on Twitter. (IE: Get immediate updates on the latest deals & promotions, etc.)
3) You should apply for a CAP seal for your site. Submit your info here:CAP Seal Submit
Just an FYI, we’re conducting a webinar next week on Wed. 2.22.12 at 9 am PST on site optimization and conversion. Tim Ash (who is a definite pro) will be conducting the webinar. Not sure if you’re familiar with Tim, but he’s really amazing! If you’re interested in attending, you can register here: CAP Site Conversion & Optimization Webinar

Nice work
February 14, 2012 at 6:55 pm #821429winterryMemberHey guys,
Thanks for all your valuable feedback!
Let me try to give some answers to your feedback:
CAP Seal – I was actually awarded the CAP Seal but remember having had an issue because I got the script, but only wanted to use the image to display it. Not sure what went wrong, but I remember having problems getting just the image in the right size to fit with the rest of the content in the footer.
Slider – I can definitely understand your point about this and I will try to figure out a way of solving this without compromising too much the overall design and user experience.
Twitter – That is a very good suggestion and I will mos def implement it.
iGaming – I actually live in a iGaming “haven” where there are around 500 iGaming companies and most of my friends are somehow connected to the industry. I saw a great opportunity in this and decided to use my Portuguese knowledge to break into this market.
Translation – I am quite wary of using those automated translation plugins as the result is usually very poor. If you meant for me to have proper manual translation, well that would be great. But to be honest, I find it hard to find enough time for even just one language as I also have a day job.
Webinar – I would LOVE to attend, but I am unfortunately in Europe and I will be sound asleep due to work the following day at that time. If you guys ever organize anything on a weekend, I would definitely be IN!
Thanks a lot again for all your feedback. I will keep pushing and hopefully expand enough to be able to dedicate all my time to this business. I love it!

I also ‘liked’ your facebook page and hope I win your t-shirt drawing.
But, only because you asked for a review did I go the trouble of going to google and plugging in your url to get a translation. Hardly any other person will do that. Instead of adding a translate link for the entire site, maybe you could include a link to a page that includes a pre-written summary of the main information you want to relay to the site visitor (and then possibly also provide a translation link).
If I got a foreign language speaker to my site, I’d want to try and salvage the visit.
