Has anyone taken train from airport? It looks like the train goes from airport to “Sants” station which is about 1km from the Sofia. Considering that i prefer a train to a cab and that it’s only about $5, i figured i’d try.

I’m due into terminal A around 2:30pm Weds, anyone else due in then that want to grab a cab/car & driver or hop a train with me? give a holler.

Train is easy to take from the airport. Follow the signs, it’s in Terminal B. Follow the massive crowd, hard to miss it. At the end are booths and kiosks. Kiosks run in multiple languages so just hit the language button until you get English or 8+ others. You want adult 1 way and you should select Barcelona Sants, or it might be listed as Sants Estacio, or Sants Station or have the word Barcelona in it. Should cost around 2 euro. Once you arrive there are plenty of taxis outside both exits of Sants Estacio (station). Just be sure to have the address and hotel name clearly printed and helps to have the phone number for it as well. When you get in, show them the card and just ask “si?” which means yes. Most taxis don’t speak English so you want them to agree to the address before you start. My Spanish is functional and they still try to take me for joy rides even though I have lived in the city before. Should be 5 minute taxi ride to PS hotel. Taxis from airport to PS hotel should be no more than 25 euros. If it costs more than you have probably taken the scenic route which for the first time isn’t that bad. You’ll go through Montjuic and the olympic park while getting a nice view of the city.

Anybody need help while there just email me on my blackberry, mobile ( at ) velvet-vegas ( dot ) com.
