October 20, 2006 at 9:41 pm #712830AnonymousInactiveDid you guys ever notice these “Call Outs” to the programs NEVER result in discussion or interaction with the affiliate managers? We just get four or five of the same posters coming out and hurling accusations and conspiracy theories at the programs. It may serve your need to vent, but it gets old and its not productive.
Totally disagree
Calling out programs, or questioning their integrity is very productive and has served many well here to be aware of these facts, especially when the accusations were justified and proven to be correct.
October 20, 2006 at 9:44 pm #712831vladcizsolMemberYou totally are wrong Nick and are skating on THIN ICE now.
The programs DO NOT post in these sort of threads. They NEVER do. And there are NO accusations being made with supportive evidence in this thread.
There is just conjecture and negativity.
And it WONT continue to go on. Trust me on that one.

Not the programs. It’s the forums that have the chatter… the webmasters who sent out emails to educate… players who started petitions… individuals who organized demonstrations…
The programs are silent.
Professor wrote:Arent they facing the same challenges we are?Except that they have the resources to do something more dynamic, more creative, more expensive and more impacting than we do.
My stupid videos have been seen over 40,000 times in two weeks! What more could have been done by those with the means?
The programs are still silent.
Professor wrote:Arent they impacted by the new law just as heavily as we are ?US Affiliates are losing 80% to 90% of their income. Most cannot survive that.
Most programs will survive… silently.
Professor wrote:Wasnt it OPERATORS who have been arrested??So far, Lou. But I live here, and my butt is more in danger right now.
By the way, this is the FOURTH CALL OUT to affiliate programs to just SAY SOMETHING…
ANYthing…
ONE WORD?
Nothing.
silence…

So are you going to call them out 10 times? 20 Times? You dont detect a trend here?
Have these programs been supporting your family for years? Have they supported APCW financially and with data? Have they bought ads in your magazine? Do YOU Really despise them this much that you have to continually call them out? EVEN when there is nothing they have done? You are now calling them out for what they MIGHT do? In a POSSIBLE future?
Come on now. I know we are ALL frustrated. We are all pissed at whats been happening. But is it really necessary or helpful to attack our partners on what they MIGHT do?
October 20, 2006 at 9:54 pm #712837AnonymousInactiveHow quickly you jump to the side of these programs, regardless of the accusations made by members here
The last thing i would want personally is to accuse a program of wrong doing, i just don’t want it to happen, ever
But it does happen, and you can search this place for hundreds of accusations, they can’t all be wrong
Almost everyone has doubts to the integrity of some programs, i don’t understand why you act so quickly to hush them up, i see nothing wrong with people who have reason to be suspicious of some programs speaking out against them
October 20, 2006 at 9:59 pm #712838vladcizsolMemberDid you ever notice how quickly I jump to the side of affiliates with legitimate concerns Nick?
Do you now how many affiliates I have helped to get paid when there was a problem?
Do you notice how quickly I spend 12 hours a day here trying to keep a community working together towards a common and positive goal?
Its easy to tear things dow. Its HARD as hell to build things up.
I defend our members who are programs just as steadfastly as I defend our members who are affiliates. Its called balance.
Yeah it would be easy to just let this community become a flame fest and NOT step in. But I wont do it.

Yes, Lou… they have been good partners during the “fair weather”. And there are many good programs still hanging in there… and I admire them. This thread started with such a simple question that, now, will never be answered.
As our “partners”, programs have been telling us for years “not to worry” about this happenning… they were wrong. The “calling them out” started as just a simple request for help. After all, we’re “partners”, right?
It’s so so so very disappointing to have a “partnership” where the only communication I ever receive is “keep sending traffic… other than that, sorry about your luck”.
:unhappy:
October 20, 2006 at 10:01 pm #712842AnonymousInactiveNick777, if I felt I was being cheated by programs I would not be in this business.
I most certainly do speak up when I see something wrong.
In order to fix it, and that is good and productive.
Just bitching never got anyone anyplace, and just saying that “programs cheat” is a generalization that takes away any possible validity.
If you want to achieve concrete goals, deal with concrete issues to fix.
If you think they are all a bunch of crooks, you are a fool to do business with them.
October 20, 2006 at 10:05 pm #712843vladcizsolMemberOk guys can we get on with the weekend? I am talking to the Captain and I would like to join him in a drink.
Nick, Todd and Aleph you are invited to pull up a chair and join us.

This is a professional board. Anyone who likes to just bitch and vent, please do it in the freeforall section and let useful threads serve their purpose.
This has been increasingly getting on my nerves here lately.
In adversity we work together and do something constructive.
The original question fo this thread will never be answered because several people saw it as an opportunity to just bitch.
Cut the crap out.
Now, who wants some parrot hooch?
