InactiveFor the patch go to windows start>help and security>pick a task>windows update. This is the firewall patch will protect against the trojan worm that exploits. Microsoft will be relaesing a new patch once a month from what I am told.

InactiveTheses patches did not auto update on my system for some reason. I went to the security center I clicked check for updates and found the two patches that were not on my computer. These are the ones you need.

InactiveI do that and it come up with a new window saying “undefined”.
There is another path to windows updates someplace I think?

Or go to start then click help and support center under pick a task click keep your computer up to date with windows update. From there click express and it will scan to see if you already have these updates. If not install.

Besides, activex is another name for controls which is another name for OLE Controls. OLE allows the embedding of objects within a container (OLE = Object Linking and Embedding). This is a technology which IE allows in it’s browsers which has, in the past (and still on occasion), been expoited. Active scripting is not an accurate name for this as it is a compiled object.
My guess is that Dom is right in that he is forcing cookie creation. There are many reasons to do this, one of which is to make sure that he gets the referral. IE WOULD bark at this.

Thanks. Despite active automatic updates there were two critical updates not installed.
