Hi Joe,
I like the ballpark comparison. I would be happy to add your link when it is ready. My google traffic is next to nil now. The good news is I have picked up on other searches, even the remote ones. I try to outweigh how much time I have to fight them without neglecting working on the sites because I work full time also. The fight goes on and frankly, if google disappeared tomorrow I wouldn’t mind a bit. Unrealistic I know, they would just go to the next one. At this point, all we can do together as a group is helpful, inclucding these articles.

I also have a more-than full time job, and my website does suffer because of that. Like you, any time I have to work on the site has been pure content and design changes – little is done to fiddle with fickle search engine rankings (besides proper page design and coding).
Google does however give me the best results, however this is only because of the sheer volume of Google users – not that Google has a better algo and SERPs.

I have written google, I have written affiliate managers. Sigh. In their defense, Google removed 12 links. Behold, 19 more showed up. Not to mention the thousands of others out there. I have not heard back from some affiliate managers.
I have now decided to go a different route. I believe I have forgotten one important resource. The people. Our players want to be informed. I have written a lil something that I hope will help them. I have put a link on our sites and forum and will do a targeted mailer. I hope it’s ok to put a link here. If not, my sincerest apologies to management.

I realize that this is not even a minuscule drop in the preverbal bucket but it’s my little way of fighting back. If I stop even one click on these idiots links I will at least feel a tiny victory.
Thank you for listening. I was sooooo angry. Now I am just beyond discouraged.
Here is your problem mojo I will contact them. It is time ISprime get the call instead of Google. I have seen this crap up for over a year now.
