I am still newbie, so please help.

If someone visit my site, he found one casino and he click under my refer links to visits this casino. After that, he do not want to play, and close this casino page.

He use search engine and found another website. He read a review in this site about this casino he have just visits and he like it. He click a refer link in this site and visits the casino again, and join to play.

I wonder who was refer him to this casino, Commission will be calculate for me or calculate for another site which he visited after.

    Thank you

Sorry because my English not good.

    I mean that, for example.

If someone visit Casino Classic – (or another casino, I mean for all casino is the same) – under my refer links first, and he do not want to play there.
After that, he visit Casino Classic again but under another refer link. and now he join to play.

I wonder commission will be calculate for me, or for another one? Because he visit Casino Classic under my refer link first.

    Thank you.

Well I’m not a vet but its commonly referred to as return days. In most affiliate programs the number of return days varies and the last affiliate to refer the visitor gets the comission.

With casinos it’s the opposite. However, each gambling affiliate program may do it differently.

This excert from CPS explains it best:

“When a visitor to your website clicks on a link that contains your affiliate ID, and goes to the client website, your ID is allocated to their click. If the visitor downloads the casino or poker-room software and registers, your ID is linked to their account and you are paid in terms of their net losses, for as long as they play at the casino or poker-room. If they don’t download and register, and they visit the casino or poker-room directly at a later time, you will also capture that player. We check each person who visits the casinos in terms of their origin, and if they have come from an affiliate link, we allocate them to that affiliate.”

    Cheers,

so if they visited a casino but didn’t download and register thru the prior referring affs link ….. then the most current referrer gets the credit?

just trying to understand… either way I suspect it works out….. as long as somebody (aff) gets credit

Who evers banner they click first will get credit, how long apart depends on the cookies ….if they visit my site, click a banner, then tomorrow go to your site and click and download and play, I get credit….. I am not sure on how long the cookies last and most likely depends upon each user, some dump cookies regularly and I believe that effects also.

A cookie gets implanted by the first aff link clicked.

Some of these are just plain over writeable, so the last aff gets the sale.

Some are for a set period of time, and if the sale comes through another aff during the specified time, the sale goes to the first aff.

All of this is foiled these days by people running anti spyware programs, most of which make it their business to remove cookies without asking.

Some surfers also remove cookies daily for whatever reasons.
