Lloyd,
You’ll be getting a few new placements at my site, as I’m busy cleaning out the barn.I did come up with a few questions though.
I noticed today that both my generic linking code and the auto-generated code for particular creative includes a parameter ‘compaign’.
I understand the idea of a campaign ID, but should the parameter name really be mispelled? Probably not I’m guessing.
Second, all of the 468×60 and 125×125 creatives I like are apparently auto-rotating when served from your server. For example, the table games creative rotates through Cyberstud and Blackjack themes. That’s fine, but I like to specifically use the blackjack targeted stuff for my site.
Today I copied the version I wanted and uploaded it to my server instead. I assume the only downside to that is that I won’t see ‘impressions’ in my stats, right?
I realize these questions probably fit right into the site tour you’ve been offering, but I figured I would ask them here instead for the benefit of all.
Last of all, a suggestion: More creative is always good! You guys have more than many programs, but I can always ask for more!
August 10, 2005 at 2:05 am #670543AnonymousInactiveI have to agree. Most of the time the new banner codes lead to a blank page for me so i went back to the old codes. One way or the other its a great program and always has been!
Help us out Lloyd

Wow, I just noticed the blank page! It wasn’t like that when I put the ‘compaign’ link up originally, this is not good…August 10, 2005 at 1:29 pm #670559AnonymousInactiveHi there!
Lots of very important questions – thank you.
Ok, let’s start with the redirect links:
If you are using the redirect link for All Slots, it should look like this:
<---a href="http://www.brightshare.com/clickscounter.php?compaign=93&groupid=0&bTag=as(yourafftag)&affid=(youraffid)"><--/a>
If you want to add a campaign id it can be a maximum of six digits long and must start with a letter. For example ‘q12345’
This is how you add it to your redirect link for All Slots:
<---a href="http://www.brightshare.com/clickscounter.php?compaign=93&groupid=0&bTag=as(yourafftag)q12345&affid=(youraffid)”><--/a>
Considerations regarding using our banner serving vs serving your own banners:
1. If we serve the banners you get full stats, i.e. also impressions.
2. Our banner server is hosted by one of the biggest Tier 1 Level hosting providers located in Canada. In the event of a failure in any pair of our banner servers, a reserve pair kicks in automatically to support the banner serving without any hiccups. In the case of a failure of the entire banner farm where we are located, our banner serving will be moved over to another banner farm within 30 minutes. Full details here: http://www.brightshare.com/bannersandclicks.php
3. We update the banners for you. MGS is releasing new games every month and we keep you promoting the fresh new games. We also update the casino headline promotion banners monthly. In addition, we update and refresh all our banners on an ongoing basis.Using the banner codes:
1. You can’t edit the banner code to serve your own banners. If you select to serve your own banners then please: (1) Copy and paste the banner to your website. (2) Link the image to the appropriate casino redirect link. If you try editing the banner code to serve your own banners you will get a blank screen when you click on the image.
2. The only change you can make to the banner code is to add a campaign id and this is how you add it:(I’m using an All Jackpots 125×125 banner for this example and campaign id ‘q12345’)
Option 1: HTML script in an iframe
<--iframe frameborder="0" width="125" height="125" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" scrolling="No" src="http://www.brightshare.com/getbanner.php?compaign=83&groupid=3&bTag=aj(yourafftag)q12345&affid=(youraffid)”><--/iframe>Option 2: Plain HTML script
<---a href="http://www.brightshare.com/clickscounter.php?compaign=83&groupid=3&bTag=aj(yourafftag)q12345&affid=(youraffid)” target=”_blank”><---img src="http://www.brightshare.com/impcounter.php?compaign=83&groupid=3&bTag=aj(yourafftag)q12345&affid=(youraffid)” border=”0″><--/a>And yes, Ken, campaign is spelled wrong :flush:
In any case, it is always good practice to test all your new links and if anyone has a link that isn’t working please let me know at [email protected] or IM on [email protected] and I’ll check it for you right away.
Hope that answers some questions. Please feel free to publish all the issues you have.
Best regards,
LloydAugust 10, 2005 at 4:51 pm #670572AnonymousInactiveThanks much for clarifying all those issues!
August 10, 2005 at 7:26 pm #670587AnonymousInactiveKen, my pleasure – thanks!
August 11, 2005 at 6:26 am #670613AnonymousInactiveHi Lloyd,
I take the banner code right out of the site….sometimes they work and other times the blamk page. Maybe you could check them for me, they are on my main. I just checked and First Web and Wildjack are both going to a blank page. http://www.onecentgambling.com
Otherwise…..you’re the best!
Thanks……August 13, 2005 at 11:11 am #670748AnonymousInactiveThanks Carney I tried all our banners on http://www.onecentgambling.com and they worked for me. Which ones aren’t working now on your computer?
Best regards,
LloydAugust 14, 2005 at 4:15 pm #670795AnonymousInactivemmm, well, I fixed them so they would, but the code that comes from your site, doesn’t work for me……not sure why…thanks Lloyd.
August 15, 2005 at 10:28 am #670828AnonymousInactiveHi Carney,
I noticed that you are using a combination of different codes for our banners. Like for All Jackpots you have combined the redirect link with the image part of the banner code. Please tell me which part of the code didn’t work for you. Also, did you try using the full banner codes for both the iframe and plain html options? Below are your banner codes for the All Jackpots banner you are using:
iframe version:
<---iframe frameborder="0" width="468" height="60" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" scrolling="No" src="http://www.brightshare.com/getbanner.php?compaign=83&groupid=4&bTag=ajaff1222&affid=1320"><---/iframe>Plain html version:
<---a href="http://www.brightshare.com/clickscounter.php?compaign=83&groupid=4&bTag=ajaff1222&affid=1320" target="_blank"><---img src="http://www.brightshare.com/impcounter.php?compaign=83&groupid=4&bTag=ajaff1222&affid=1320" border="0"><---/a>Please try both codes and if both of them don’t work for you please tell me which part is giving you trouble.
Thanks!

LloydAugust 15, 2005 at 1:01 pm #670838AnonymousGuestWell done K! :chearlead
no wonder I’m always bitching at you Lloyd that you’re underperforming. i’ve got that plastered all over my sites.
… sigh.
i don’t know how Lloyd, but we’re gonna make it together thru these obstacles yet.
well this should help things out quite a bit. now that my traffic can actually FIND the casinos ….
August 15, 2005 at 1:10 pm #670839AnonymousGuesthey Lloyd,
i’m just thinking, although I’m going thru and changing, it would be damn wise to go ahead and create that folder named compaign / or landing page I guess is what i should call it.
that’s what I always do when I figure out that I mispelled something, is if i’ve already got a bunch of links coming in to that mispelled word landing page; is to make sure there is something at that place for the surfer to see; rather than trust my front page to make all the necessary changes.
seriously. how much trouble could it possibly be to create that landing page?
August 15, 2005 at 2:31 pm #670853AnonymousInactiveHi Lloyd,
I have used both the iframe and the html codes. I prefer no frames, but have tried both. I am unsure which part doesn’t work ….and it isn’t all the time, but I don’t care to have banners redirect to a blank page, therefore I fixed them so they would work…..I like to have stats show, or would use without the counter….Sorry…I am not much help to you in fixing it….August 16, 2005 at 10:56 am #670942AnonymousInactiveHi there
Carney, thanks. Can you please possibly setup a hidden page with a sample of one plain html banner code for each of our casinos and then I can ask our web developers to check it out?
Steve, good to hear from you. What landing pages do you want me to make up?
Best regards,
LloydP.S. I’m on vacation in New England, visiting my inlaws for the rest of the month. We are planning I few trips – Maine, Vermont – lots of fun So, replies may be a little slower than usual. But please keep posting as usual. Take care and have a great summer!
