MemberNo they cant see these forums.
The leak we had in here previously has been excluded from private forum access. She doesnt have a relationship with 888 anyway, she primarily shared info with Fortune, Gambling Wages, Roxy, Wager Share, Referback and Wager Junction.

MemberQuote:I guess 888 are in a quandry at the moment, as their high serps and no doubt a high percentage of their affiliate earnings is made up on the back of these scraper sites that promote them.Thats the problem in a nutshell. Imagine you are a shop keeper and you have five salesmen. One produces 1000 sales per month, the remaining four produce 20. One day the four low selling salesmen come into your office and say the top producer is stealing their ideas and copying their sales techniques, that’s why HE is making all the sales while they have trouble producing their 20. They demand the owner fire the salesmen who’s making the 1000 sales. They cant guarantee once hes gone they will make the 1000 sales he was bringing in, but they dont care, its not “fair” and they want him gone.
If you are the shop keeper how do YOU handle this?
Yes, I know, if he never hired the super salesman none of this would be happening. And yes in a perfect world people wouldnt have to make choices like this, but this is the hand he has to work with.
What do you do?

MemberQuote:Who was that Lou?I wont say as they are still a member here in the general areas. I solved the problem by removing this great temptation from her, so lets leave it at that.

Collectively we can turn the heat up on 888 should they decide to ignore us. Getting the message out there to our collective visitors the players, that 888 are a brand not to sign up with is one way. We need to ensure that should they not meet us halfway, the resultant negative publicity they will receive online, negates the benefits they currently enjoy by way of their support of site scraping.
We all are very good at seo. Perhaps we should all work together and google bomb the term 888 for our rogue pages, should 888 not deliver on this issue.

InactiveThey will seriously have to think what loses them more money.
We have lots of high SERPS, we can do a lot of manipulation these days.
And in the end it doesn’t much matter whether they cave or not – they serve as an example to the other programs.

Affiliate Program TeamLOL. They’re absolutely right. But the timing is amusing. Coming about 7 days after they fell off the bottom of my site

InactiveMy patience with their stalling tactics has all but run out. Shelly is currently reading my latest reply. Her response or lack of response to the questions i have posed will decide whether I rogue them across my entire network of sites – including raising this issue in my politics forum, which has many many posters.
If anyone follows suit and decides to rogue 888, I am looking for dedicated recip links to all and any page that rogues 888 as a result. Perhaps we can use this thread to list our 888 rogue pages and then each and everyone of us can link to each other. I suggest using the anchor text 888 and also 888 rogue for the links.
Also Lou, if you do decertify them, will you be issuing a press release?
This may sound like I am jumping the gun here, but this has been going on for far too long now.

InactiveI’m in. I have gotten very good at getting the pages I want at the top of the serps with one of my sites (progressive-watch). I will create a complete page blacklisting them with whatever anchor I can.
I will also point to blacklists from my network of sites as well.

InactiveThere are many people watching the thread currently with great interest. I am not talking no small chickens either, such as the press, brokers ect…. The direct link to 888.com scraping peoples sites is one the thread. I have listed many front pages, start looking at then more closely.
For names of the main scrapers they are all on CAP. One these scrapers just moved locations from Arizona to Illinios. In addition the IP scraper is in the source code of the poptshirts. I believe this work was done by Nicheblast.com, keep the thread going. This guy is a major scraper of 888.com and is Israeli.
I could post more stuff I have the names of the Israeli scrape squad. If people decide to roque them be careful 888.com could turn around and possible have your sight blacklisted in theory.
This is just my own beleive but I do not think 888.com considers us as a threat. They have way to many front pages and scrapers out there to do the work for them. Many of their front pages can be delisted a per SE policies.
I say keep the the posts going, I can easily find more stuff if need be. All of the aff programs on CAP are following the thread with great interest. We are setting a really good example right for other programs.
I think 888.com should return the funds aquired by scapers back into the pockets of the honest webmasters. I could give Shelly a call and arrange a meeting with Webzcas, he is the closest to negotiate. Shelly does not like me, but will talk with me.
But for now keep the pressure up. I need permission to look into other peoples websites. I think it to be immoral to not ask for permission. greek39
I am working very hard to get my stuff set up. A couple of new servers and more T connections, in addition I have the paid version of google earth. I will post a screen shot as soon as I am set up.April 27, 2006 at 3:49 pm #690215Anonymous
