Does anyone know of a script that I can place on my server to bring up a nicely designed by me) webpage should the visitor get a 404 page not found error?
Generally it can be easily done. You can save a page with name 404.shtml and put it into your root directory.
Usually it’s easy to do this when you use a web hosting with cpanel installed.
