August 10, 2009 (CAP PR Wire) — 25 year-old Frenchman, Antoine Saout, who recently became one of only two Europeans in the WSOP November Nine has now committed to Team Everest.
Antoine, already a millionaire, is another example of a player who has grown through Everest Poker, where he qualified for the WSOP, and is now looking to establish himself as a world-class poker professional. The deal will see him participate in the biggest poker tournaments on the planet and, of course, the WSOP Final Table in November.
Antoine, from Saint Martin des Champs, Brittany, France, dropped out of university after one year to concentrate on poker. This commitment to the game has been amply rewarded by a final table appearance in his first ever WSOP and a contract with official WSOP sponsors, Everest Poker.
Everest Poker does not sponsor professional players but instead invests in real players to become professionals and succeed on the world stage in much the same way as many football clubs now look to nurture talent within their own academies.
Sandrine Mangia-Park, Everest’s Poker Director, commented; “France is where Everest Poker first launched and to have a French player on the final table who qualified with us is very exciting. He joins an increasingly well respected team of real poker players who all support each other in the biggest tournaments around the world.”
Team Everest are: Cristiano Blanco (IT), Voitto Rintala (FI), Maria Maceiras (ES), Steven van Zadelhoff (NL) & Kim Wooka (JP).
