Another notorious casino that finally met its end at the hands of the Federal Government. For years, Golden Arch casino offered predatory credit practices to players and shady dealings to affiliates. Perhaps worst of all their offenses was offering players a line of credit without their permission when their account fell under $300. This meant it was possible for players to go deeply into debt while assuming that they still had a positive balance
Last spring, the company was caught up in a sting staged by Baltimore Police that came right out of The Wire. Baltimore PD created a fake credit card processing company to help nail the company for money laundering and gambling charges.
Given the severity of the charges they’re facing, it’s unlikely that Golden Arch will be back in the casino business anytime soon.
