Last week, UK’s largest bookmaker, William Hill, was approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission to run a sports book there. Will Hill will become the first British sportsbook to operate in Nevada. The license means that William Hill can offer sports betting on mobile devices to bettors in Nevada.
“Mobile gaming is the fastest growing part of our business, and this adds a new dimension for us,” said William Hill chief executive Ralph Topping.
This puts William Hill in a position for success when legal restrictions on US online gaming are lifted. With revenues of $25 million a week for William Hill’s mobile arm, the new license puts William Hill in an excellent position.
