Competitive Eating
You can certainly debate whether or not Major League Eating is athletic sport, but you can’t argue that it’s a popular television draw. Every year thousands gather on Coney Island in New York for the Super Bowl of competitive eating, Nathan’s Famous July 4 International Hot Dog-Eating Contest, and millions more watch it live in ESPN.
But this isn’t just a once-a-year event. Competitive eaters run a circuit all year long that include everything from hot wings to oysters. It’s a sport that’s dominated, strangely, by fairly thin men and a lot of women. There are plenty of opportunities for prop bets in this sport and creating excitement shouldn’t be too tough.
