July 29, 2010 (CAP PR Wire) — The World Series of Poker might be over until November, but the competition continues at UB.com with the return of UBOC5, the leading online poker site’s Championship tournament series, running August 18th through 29th , 2010. Players still itching to get in the UBOC mood before then need look no further than this Sunday, August 1st for the first of three Super Satellites that guarantees 10 of a total of 40 seats for UBOC5’s Main Event, the $1 Million GTD No Limit Hold ‘em Championship Monster Stack event.
With only three weeks to go until UBOC5’s first card is dealt, the time is right for players to think about earning their seat at the UBOC Main Event, and they can do so for a fraction of the cost. There are three separate Super Satellite chances for players to parlay their way into the August 29th $1000+50 buy-in NLH Championship tourney for a much more modest $100+9, or check out the many satellite feeders for these starting as low as a tiny $3.
UBOC5 Main Event Super Satellite Guarantees are scheduled as follows:
• 10 Seat GTD – Sunday, August 1st @ 20:05 ET
• 10 Seat GTD – Sunday, August 8th @ 20:05 ET
• 20 Seat GTD – Sunday, August 15th @ 20:05 ET
Also making a welcome return at UB are two UBOC side competitions, including the Single Event Satellite Contest and the All-U-Can Satellite Contest that made their popular debut during UBOC4 earlier this year. Both contests are up and running now, offering the ultimate challenge to those who are committed satellite enthusiasts.
UBOC’s Single Event Satellite Contest caters to players looking to prove just who reigns supreme at the felt. Snatch as many seats as possible for any single UBOC event in the Single Event Satellite Contest to pocket extra prizes in tournament dollars (“T$s”). For example, a player who wins five satellites into the $1000+50 UBOC Championship Main Event receives one tournament entry and $4,200 in T$s. Plus, win more satellite entries for any single UBOC event than anyone else to receive two times the buy-in for that event in equivalent T$s, or finish with the second-most entries to bank one extra buy-in in T$s.
The All-U-Can Satellite Contest requires players to notch up multiple satellite entries in as many different UBOC events as they can to earn more freeroll entries. There are three different $5,000 freerolls to qualify for. Satellite into at least two UBOC events and you automatically qualify for Freeroll A, while three UBOC seats won through satellites means entry into Freeroll A and B, and finally 4 or more satellite seats won for UBOC events means the triple treat of securing seats in Freeroll A, B and C, delivering a chance to share in $15,000 in prize money.
The bonus is that any player who successfully satellites into 17 or more different UBOC events will automatically win a seat into the $1 Million GTD Championship event, to be hosted by Team UB’s legendary Phil Hellmuth.
So, players can get excited about the UBOC5 action now without delay. There’s already a big chunk of freeroll cash and T$s to be won, and plenty of UBOC Main Event tournament entries up for grabs at UB.
