Leading Internet poker website UB.com has announced that it’s once again partnering with the Poker Pro Canada Classic, and will send over twenty players to compete “in the second running of Montreal’s biggest poker event, a $1500+150 buy-in No Limit Hold ’em tournament.”
The Poker Pro Canada Classic II will be held at the Four Aces Poker Club in Montreal on January 27th through 30th, 2011.
“UB recently re-signed with presenting partners Poker Pro Media, and from January 2nd through 16th, 2011, the UB cardroom is qualifying players for the Poker Pro Classic II via a series of Super Satellites and Freerolls,” UB.com stated in a news release.
Those online poker tournament qualifiers will give players a chance to win a prize package valued at $2500, which includes “a seat at the $1,650 buy-in tournament, plus $850 for travel expenses to get to magnificent Montreal.”
The real money Super Satellites are scheduled to run at UB.com as follows:
- Sunday, January 2nd & 9th @ 16:05 ET ($200+15 buy-in) 3 packages GTD
- Wednesday, January 5th & 12th @ 21:00 ET ($200+15 buy-in) 3 packages GTD
- Thursday, January 13th @ 20:30 ET ($300+20 buy-in) 1 package GTD
- Sunday, January 16th @ 20:30 ET ($300+20 buy-in) 1 package GTD
Players can qualify for any of these Super Satellites on the same day, for as little as $10+1. The site also plans to add more daily satellites as the event draws near.
“With an anticipated field of 300-plus players, and an expected prize pool in the realm of $500,000, that’s half a million reasons to participate in the Four Aces Poker Pro Canada Classic,” company reps add.
That’s not all: UB.com is also offering a calendar of Regional Freerolls available to residents of Ontario and Quebec, as well as U.S. residents in New York, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. “Players who qualify can compete in these freerolls on Sunday January 2nd, 9th and 16th at 16:05 ET and Wednesday January 5th, 12th and 19th at 20:05 ET, with the winner of each walking away with a $2500 Poker Pro Canada Classic II prize package.”
As poker tournament season heats up, poker affiliates should look to popular online satellites like this as a great way to drive online poker traffic.
